  1. Next question - should there be absolutely no return edge along the top and bottom of the belt? It's difficult to tell in reference photos. So, should I be able to run my finger along the tops and bottoms of the "boxes" on the belt, and hit no edge, whatsoever?
  2. Is there a specific measurement as to how far from the edge the slot is cut for the strap around the upper arm?
  3. Is there a specific measurement as to how far from the edge the slot is cut for the strap around the upper arm?
  4. That would make more sense - the strap would be more flush with the armor that way.
  5. Excellent, thanks! Next question. Does the slot for the strap go on where I marked the green or the red? I know forearms don't show up very well in reference pics, but I want to get it right.
  6. Ok, thanks. I thought, if anything, they were like mirror images of each other - rounded opposite ways. But, they are both shaped the same way. Much appreciated.
  7. Thanks! I just started another thread - about the first of a thousand questions I'll likely have. But, I'll ask here too. Is the bottom of this forearm piece supposed to be like this? Does anyone have a photo of what the top and bottom of the forearm is supposed to look like? The CRL does not show these angles. Thanks!
  8. I am getting started on building my ROTJ Scout armor, and on just the first piece, I have a question. The CRL does not have a top and bottom view of the forearm pieces. The bottom of mine are both shaped like this. Is the cut supposed to go straight across? I just started smoothing it out, and noticed this. Thanks for your help in the first of a thousand questions I'll likely have on here!
  9. Hi All - I am ready to start building my Scout Trooper, ROTJ. If anyone has a recommendation for a good Lancer build thread, I'd appreciate it
  10. I think I partially used Pandatrooper for my TK build, as well! Thanks
  11. Studio Creations. Looks like they have somewhat of a build instruction on their site, but wondering how accurate this would be for 501st approval.
  12. Hello All! I'm ready to begin my ROTJ Biker Scout Trooper build. Any thoughts on a good build thread to follow? Thanks, in advance
  13. Thanks! Yeah, I moved to Tennessee last year (was in Michigan nearly 50 years), and it's stupid humid here in summer. I was only planning on trooping in this during the late fall or winter months, unless it's an indoor con with great AC. Much appreciated
  14. I'm at a nine inch palm size, myself. Another trooper suggested to go up a size, too. The Nomex gloves flex a little more than the padded Scout trooper gloves, so they may not be equivalent by size.
  15. Thanks! I did not see this on their site. I'll try this out.
  16. Hello, brothers and sisters. Looking for some advice about the ROTJ Scout Trooper gloves - I am building that this year, and looking for the right size. I assume Wampa Wear is the way to go. What I need is a size guide. Wampa Wear only gives sizes by small, medium, etc. - no specific size guide. I wear Nomex flight gloves, size 10 (large) for my TK. By any chance, does anyone else wear this size in flight gloves, and also have some Wampa Wear Scout gloves? Thanks!

    Boots...

    It does help, thanks!

    Boots...

Forgive the newbie question, but is there a boot maker, or do we have to make our own? (for an ROTJ Biker Scout) I've seen build threads for boots, but is there a reputable boot maker? Thanks!
  19. I am not great with my hands when it comes to building, either. However, I was careful and concise, and did a nice job on my TK (in my humble opinion). You can do it! Just watch your tutorials, pay close attention, measure twice, cut once, all that jazz, and you'll do fine
