  1. Does not look dark enough, but it may be the lighting. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
  2. Remove the belt. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
  3. I don't know of any vendors that make the belt. Check my WIP. I show how I made mine. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
  4. I'm a little late seeing this but did you ever come up with a way to make your shin armor as tight as you wanted?
  5. I'm using a pair of regular boots that meet the CRL standards that have laces. I made a flap with a pocket on the end that I attached by lacing through the flap. I glue a magnet to my toe caps and place a magnet in the pocket of the leather flap. I don't have a pair of crowprop boots. Sorry i can't help with those. If I had a pair I'm sure I could figure something out that would not require a permanent attachment.. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

  7. You could make one out of leather if you want something that will last a very long time. Check out my WIP. I made my own out of two leather belts. Just ignore the first couple of versions of the belt buckle. I have a more screen accurate belt buckle that is designed for 3D printing. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
  8. Congratulations on your new project. Welcome to the adventure. Check out some of the WIP threads. You'll see that we all started with that question of "How to...?" Check out Thrasher's thread, his thread is pretty informative. My thread has been some trial and error as I progressed. I started out with some things then changed it up to be more accurate. There are a lot of videos on YouTube that detail how to assemble the armor. i haven't seen one made specifically for the KST but the plastic is usually the same. The cool thing about the KST is the paint job. The Kashyyyk armorers can help too. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
  9. I made those months ago using the D rings. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk

  11. Sorry for so many responses. Here is the pair i got from lapolicegear.com. Im going to use them for my Galactic Marine costume. I forgot to mention. I cut off half of the uppers from the Danner boots so the calf armor doesn't have to be so bulky around the lower calf and ankle area. With a little adjusting with the boot and the pants on you should be able to make the calf armor so it looks tapered like the screen shots. But there is only so much you can do given the KST and GM are CGI drawings. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
  12. A dremel with a coarse sanding bit can remove the logo. These Danner's had a logo stamped into the heel. A little careful sanding and you can't even tell it was ever there. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
  13. The colors look good. You could experiment with a little bleach and eater to lighten them even more. Also look for a mid height. It will reduce the amount of bulk in the calf armor. Look for models with a more prominent arch. Sent from my motorola edge 5G UW (2021) using Tapatalk
  14. Check amazon and LApolicegear. There are other vendors also. I just named them because they were the first to come to mind. You can find some boots that you can make work for less than $100 or even less. I bought s pair from LApolicegea.com but they around $105 after shipping and taxes. Im currently on working on modifying a pair of Old "Danner" desert tan boots i had. I have my own opinions about crowprop stuff but ill keep that to myself. 15. I was not sure where to post this question but this looked like as good a place as any. Since we are about to begin the new year (2022), is it possible to update all the reference photos that are described in the CRL? Maybe use photos from recently approved kits as described in the CRL descriptors, with close-ups of the items being described. Maybe include a screenshot from the Movie for screen accuracy, overall photo of the item, a close-up of the requirement being described, and then a photo of it being worn on an actual human. There are a lot of photos posted but most of the good ones seem to be outdated. Is there a file size limit to the CRL? If not, can photos be added to the CRL that depict the CRL requirements? Sort of like a step by step guide showing the item. Such as the cummberbund or the front pocket on the undersuit and etc.. I know this can be tedious but I'm willing to help if needed. I am not an approved member yet but I see a trend with every new person, such as myself, we all start with the same questions of what, where and how. Happy New Year!
