  1. my flak jacket and 'bund arent going to be here till end of aug, armor wont be here till mid july, while i wait.... i did my outlines in chalk for the tailor to have references.the top line on the front they meets the zipper (horizontal) is 4.5in on either side of the zipper. from the groin to the bottom (inseam) is 9in. on the back it is again 9in from groin to bottom (inseam) going up from the groin seam where the legs all meet, up to the top on the back along the spine is 7in. on the front the 4 red lines (each 2in apart on either side) will be where i want the thigh elastic straps.... does all this look correct? back:
  2. probably gonna cross post this on the soft armor forum. my flak jacket and 'bund arent going to be here till end of aug, armor wont be here till mid july, while i wait.... i did my outlines in chalk for the tailor to have references.the top line on the front they meets the zipper (horizontal) is 4.5in on either side of the zipper. from the groin to the bottom (inseam) is 9in. on the back it is again 9in from groin to bottom (inseam) going up from the groin seam where the legs all meet, up to the top on the back along the spine is 7in. on the front the 4 red lines (each 2in apart on either side) will be where i want the thigh elastic straps.... does all this look correct? back:
  3. ya, when i get the redkap's to the tailor ill get the legs taken in some, im a pretty skinny dude as it is. i have all the pics from the links you provided and afew DIY/WIP suit pics all saved in a folder, gonna print them all out to show them what i need exactly. i didnt know there were vendors for DIY boot kits, ill definitely hunt out that in the vendor section! @Retrofire in regards to the boot, what do you guys do for laces? the kingshow's round laces style ive used before on my work boots and hate that they come loose...ok to replace with flat or flat elastic laces since they arent seen anyway? what does everyone have better luck with when trooping?
  4. itll be for basic approval right now, eventually pathfinder or remnant. thanks for all the input @Chopper and @kacrut . got about a month or so before im ready to either do it myself or order some.. diving into the research of it all now though.. @Chopper, can you be a lancer and also remnant/the mando scout with the same kit?
  5. ive found the below etsy scout boot makers, does any one have experience with them and can speak to quality/fit? is there a maker i should go to thats not listed on or off etsy? this will be for a basic scout build. https://www.etsy.com/shop/ScoutBoots?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=806431700 https://www.etsy.com/listing/620828851/star-wars-imperial-biker-scout-trooper
  6. guess its hard to see if there will be problems with the cover alls without everything else? while i wait for my hard and soft armor to arrive i ordered boots...i dont know if im gonna try to do them myself as i'd need to buy a sowing machine..they will likely be the last thing to complete/order but here they are! ill probably make the cuts to the sides of the soles this weekend to pass some time and avoid mowing the yard lol
  7. while i wait for everything to come in from SC and kripton top, i have redkap cover alls. the plan is to take them to a tailor locally to get everything done because i cant sow to save my life. before i get that all done i have taken off the butt and chest pockets. from the pictures, regarding just the overall fit of the coveralls... do you guys see any issues? its a 38/reg..im a skinny/short dude at 5'9/130
