  1. that was an E-6000 spot for mine... easy to take off in case I ever need to replace them, the tube, or if one or both of the rivets on the belt clips that hold the detonator ever pulled through I could at least salvage the caps
  2. Hey Manoah..! I also have SC armor and came across the same issue... I ended up riveting that little extra flange to the holster plate (not to the boot, just the plastic) because the E-6000, while very good, concerned me with how well it would hold up over time both carrying the blaster in it, or taking the blaster in and out, especially because the other end was simply slid into the back portion... this is a pic of what it looked like before filing the rivets down on the inside of the holster, then I simply applied a small strip of white duct tape over top to conceal them, added some slight weathering... can’t see it from the outside and you can barely tell they’re there unless you’re specifically looking for it 👍🏼
  3. Welcome back Christina!! Sorry to hear about your father, hopefully things are getting back to normal..?! Excellent work yet again with the weathering..!! Looks amazing!! 🤩
  4. Thank you Peter..!
  5. Thank you very much gentlemen!! It is truly an honor..! and Dennis it’s been said a hundred times before but the advice, the tips and tricks, the WIPs and the always readily available guidance of the members of The 501st Pathfinders Detachment are second to none!!
  6. Holy cow! YES..!!! Thank you ALL so much for seeing this journey all the way through to this EXTREMELY PROUD moment!!! Best...Christmas gift...EVER!! 😁 THANK YOU!!!
  7. Snapped a few new corrected pics: Shoulder bells rotated forward, cummerbund now sitting on top of the belt. Again, thank you for your time and consideration 👍🏼
  8. The waiting game can be annoying as hell, but sounds like BBB Day is just around the corner..! and rest assured it’ll definitely all be worth it!! Looking forward to seeing the kickstart of your build 👍🏼
  9. Thank you for your review, Corey..! Both the shoulder armor and cummerbund issues should be no problem at all to take care of the way I have them set up; just a matter of rotating the bells forward so they’re even, and pulling the bund up slightly to get it to rest on top of the belt. And definitely noting the detonator caps and bicep velcro suggestions. I’ll be kitting up, making those adjustments, and update with corrected photos very soon..! Thank you again!!

  11. Congratulations Mike!!
  12. That’s great news Nathan!! Not a bad turnaround with the soft goods..! Looking forward to seeing the continuation of your build, but in the meantime, safe travels back to Oregon... Our best goes out to you, your Mother and your family 👍🏼
  13. thank you Dennis!! 🤞
  14. Thank you Peter!! I will be doing that tonight then!! 🤘
  15. Scout suit up Take 3... again, hoping to be a little closer to Basic submission (fingers crossed)...
  16. Thank you to both of you @AradunFF and @Retrofire for the feedback!! Great suggestions all the way around..! I’m gonna see if I can tackle the poofy pants issue this weekend and try to find some time to grab a few very well sunlit pics of the backside and mudflap...
  17. a few fitting/positioning adjustments I’ve noticed that I need to address having eyed these photos and comparing them to the CRL pics and at least a dozen other Lancer submissions: 1. the pouches are needing to come out to the sides more, leaving the estimated 1” or so from the outer most bund rib on both sides... easy fix since I opted for attaching the pouch flaps directly to the inside of the chest armor via velcro. 2. I’m a little more broad shouldered than some, but even still the tops of the shoulder armor could probably come in a couple millimeters closer to the shoulder bridge of the chest/back armor... another easy fix as the bells attach to the connecting zip tie/zip tie anchor via velcro. 3. vest sleeves still need hemmed, or at least tacked a little higher; they’re simply “rolled up” (and not quite high enough) for the pics. relatively easy fix, just folding under and pinning/tacking them to the desired 1” to 1 1/2” extend from the bottom of the shoulder bell. 4. bicep armor on my left arm wasn’t positioned quite right in the forward facing photo, needs to be rotated forward. 5. detonator wasn’t sitting down on the belt all the way on its right side in the back photo. more than likely due to the zip tie holding the tube to the box snapping after an adjustment in the early going. another easy fix; zip tie’s already been replaced. 6. still some noticeable bunching of the flight suit around the knee armor. I’m thinking about adding some velcro to the exterior of the ankles of the workbook inside and the corresponding velcro just inside the ankles of the flight suit to help keep the pant legs in place and avoid the knee armor bunching. Im also looking for advice/suggestions on the length of the butt flap. as with most, the lighting prevented a lot of visibility with the black flap against the black flight suit but in the back photo you can make it out a little bit on the right side and even less, but still slightly, visible on the left. the length can also be somewhat discernible in the right and left side pics.
  18. suit-up round 2!! even had my nephew over for the big event!! still workin’ on some minor fitment/placement issues but hopefully I’m gettin’ somewhere in the vicinity of basic 501st ‘approve-ability’, any feedback would be much appreciated!
  19. hit the bund, pouches, and cod with a little weathering today; what it looks like indoor vs. outdoor...
  20. Agreed!! the attention to detail with both SWAT and Lancer is both enticing and intimidating all rolled into one!! I’m aimin’ to get there one day 👍🏼
  21. Hey Hausi! it’s good to see a familiar “face” from the MEPD dirty side!! I’ve had two simultaneous builds goin’ on for the last few months, both TB Scout and TD Sandtrooper... Being a big fan of both characters as well as a fan of the look and feel of varying degrees of weathering, I’ve discovered for me it’s a slightly finer line to walk with the Pathfinders than with the Sandies; I prefer the down and dirty ‘lived-in’ look over the ‘bright, brand new’ look... Don’t get me wrong, I very much appreciate both Detachments and the shiny white armor within both, but the weathering on my Scout has proved more difficult for me than on my TD where, shy of a MudTrooper, (almost) anything goes..! I’m really likin’ what you’ve done with your Scout lid and kudos to your attention to detail and excellent use of screen-used helmet reference pics, it looks GREAT!!!
  22. Congratulations Eric..!!
