  1. Thank you sir. I will definitely ask questions when things start coming together. My flightsuit will be here in about a week, and my drill fabric should be here in the coming days.
  2. He told me they were doing a limited time offer on free assembly. I don't know if I will have the funds to buy armor in that time frame. I'd like to do the armor myself anyways, as I feel that is part of the journey. On a side note, I ended up finding drill fabric at one Joann's store, and they are going to ship to my local one. I bought three yards of it to be safe. I've been reading the Lancer Build thread and watching videos on YouTube to familiarize myself what goes into the build. I cant wait to get started putting my flight suit together.
  3. That does help. To make a long story short, I ended up finding some drill fabric at a Joann's store. I will have to have it shipped to my local store, as it is in a Southern California store about 5 hours from here.
  4. I'm having a tough time finding that fabric locally at Joann's. I found one store about an hour away from me that only had one yard of it. I asked her if it is something that is phasing out, and she said she saw a quantity of zero for the Drill Fabric.
  5. Hello Scouts. Today I made my first purchase and will be slowly accumulating the necessary items to build a Biker Scout. I have never done a build thread before. Everyone on these boards have been very helpful so far in getting me in the right direction for materials. I have been looking at Lancer submissions to get familiar with what I will have to do to get to that level. So far, I have ordered the Red Kap Coveralls for my flight suit. A good friend of mine is awesome with his sewing machine and will be helping me to tailor it to fit me. I am still on the hunt for the Drill Fabric as it has not been available at my local Joann's, or online. As for the armor, I have yet to purchase it, but I have decided go with Studio Creations. That is where I am at, at this moment. I will make posts as everything starts coming together. Again, I want to thank everyone here on the forums for being so helpful. I'm looking forward to this fun journey and join the Pathfinders. 6. Looking back at the message he said “We do not now, but if we get enough requests for them, maybe in the future.” Sounds positive.
  7. That seems like a good idea to me. Thanks for the clarification.
  8. Just read this thread. I bought an E-11 from Praetorian Blaster, and absolutely love it. I messaged him a few days ago to see if they make the Hold Out Blaster, and he said they do not, due to the low interest on it, by may do it in the future if the interest picks up.
  9. I went to my local Joann’s to see if they carry the Drill Fabric, but they do not. I may have to check a store about 30 minutes away to see if they have it. It’s not available online at this time.
  10. Is Diamond State Props still around?
  11. Is Lancer Status the only level for a Pathfinder other than basic approval? In the 1st Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment there is basic, Expert Infantry, and the highest level you can achieve, Centurion. In the Biker Scout CRL I only see level two requirements. Am I getting this right?
  12. That's a huge milestone. Congratulations.
  13. I think I'd like to aim for level 2. I printed out the CRL yesterday and will be reading up on everything. Thank you guys for the tips on the fabric.
  14. He got back to me and said as long as I have no problem finding ballcaps I should be fine. I usually wear a L/XL, or 7 1/2 with a New Era fitted.
  15. Is there a specific brand that you guys use? I looked it up on Joann's and Hobby Lobby, but there were multiple white options like "White Kona Cotton" and "White Cotton Poplin".
  16. I messaged Studio Creations asking if his armor would be a good fit for me, which he said it would. The only concern he had was his helmet isn't good for people with big heads. I emailed him back asking if there was someway to tell if it would fit me. Hopefully it will, as I feel I don't have a big head.
  17. Thanks for this. As someone who is barely getting started, this is a great resource. A friend of mine is really good at sewing and told me he'd help me do my soft goods. This will be in my arsenal. Thanks again.
  18. Right now I'm reading up on what I'd need to get my suit ready. I trying to find a good source for the cotton needed.
  19. After much deliberation, I have decided to take the path to be a Pathfinder. I will start from the ground up, literally, with my boots, and then the rest of the soft goods. Armor will be the last thing I will do, and hopefully it wont take long for me to be able to get it. Thanks to those that have replied to a few of my previous questions. I have found awesome information and tutorials as I dig, and will continue to keep digging for information on these boards.
  20. Thank you guys.
  21. Good morning. I am doing my homework on becoming a Biker Scout. I found the hard armor that I'd purchase, but Im having a tough time with the softgoods. Is there a definitive list of the soft goods needed? I will check out the CRL and go from there. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance for the help.
  22. Will do. Thanks again.
