Another update, but a major one. I finally have the funds for armor! I wanted to look at the post that shows the pictures of the Scout and the different vendors armor but I cannot seem to find it. I pretty much know who I am selecting, but just wanted to look at that post again one more time to make my final decision. I'll try searching for it again. I am so excited to be moving on to the next steps toward being a Pathfinder.

Good Afternoon, Pathfinders. I was looking into working on my boots and noticed that some of you use a chisel shaped X-Acto blade. Is there a certain width that you recommend using? Thanks in advance for the help.

A small update on my progress, and I do mean small. I will be placing an order for my Hold Out Blaster, boots, and gloves within the next 24 hours or so. I need a bit of suede, and the armor, and I think Ill have everything I need. I really cant wait to get this thing started. I hope to be approved for Celebration Anaheim.

I got that feeling too after seeing a picture from a build thread. It’s seemed real flimsy. Thanks for reminding me about the suede, as I will need that too.

The app for Joann’s said my local store had some available. After driving there, I found they had none.

I read on a boot tutorial that the marine vinyl should be “High Quality”. I found some at Hobby Lobby, and was curious to know if theirs is considered high quality or not. I’d like to shoot for Lancer. Thanks in advance for the help.

Good morning Scouts, I saw a post on a Facebook page from someone who has a shop on Etsy called Kripton Top. The stores page has the wording "Accurate Replicas" and "Affordable Prices" on it. I looked at the Vendor List but it isn't listed there. Should I assume that this would not be a good spot to get armor from?

I was thinking that some of this stuff should probably done with armor in hand. Th sad thing is, is I have no idea when I’d be able to order it. I’m hoping real soon.

I’ve got something of an update. I bought a black cotton tee, and batting for the vest, and my flightsuit and Drill cloth came in as well. I’m jus trying to figure all the details on the other materials needed like buckles and sizes of elastic. If I remember correctly, I’ll need 2” Velcro to sew into the cummerbund and 2” elastic for the legs of the flightsuit. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How far off are you from achieving Lancer status?

I appreciate his recommendation and I will always listen to him. 😊 I follow a gentleman on YouTube from the Dune Sea Garrison (TK1636) who does some very awesome build videos. He did a whole series on building a TK which was so helpful to me when I did my Anovos TK. He also does a Biker Scout, among other ones for the 501st, and I recently started watching that one. He mentions what Greeny recommended as far as the strapping and things. As always, I appreciate any advice that someone gives to me on the forums.
