  1. Hahaha, I’ve asked BikerScout007 if we can just call this belt box the Walkman!! Lol Id say call it Sony Walkman, but maybe Imperial Walkman? And I’m right, does it not look like a cassette Walkman?
  2. I think a new bund will be in order. If we all agree on 20 vertical stripes from mid-side to mid-side, this might be to only NEW piece to add. I can sew a new bund in hour no problem.
  3. I think that’s what we are all trying to do. But as we think this through and try to make it somewhat easy basic CRL level, there could be some room for a Level 2 with changes to existing Scout suit. But yes, just finding ways to make easy without looking cheap
  4. Well the harness I made is sewn tight at the belt. depending on how wide the box is, maybe we just add two TD style clips vertically on each side or the down strap from shoulder? Or smaller belt clips? i don’t see how we can not have the straps from shoulder sewn to belt.
  5. So I’m like you, no need to ruin good pair or Wampa gloves for this. -Wires from shoulder to glove can have some kind of Velcro or connector inside. This will make easy to disconnect and take gloves off while trooping. -the connection from glove to knuckles I’m not sure how to make that removable for Scout changes. Magnets are an idea without sewing Velcro or gluing. -the hand taser is maybe the same. I’m finishing up a rough mock-up of the battery sling and then I’ll see what I can design or come up with for the knuckle taser.
  6. Maybe instead of a vertical clip to hang on the belt, it’s a horizontal clip (or something) that hangs on the strap from shoulder?
  7. I see that. I think we can add the metal buckle cover over the sleeve that slides over the buckle. It took me 10mins to make with 3” black strapping with some elastic sewn behind to slide over the buckle clip. Perhaps the 3D metal painted cover could cover that too. the hand taser looks like metal and sometimes like leather. But I agree it would be a metal look. I also see sew seams on outside edge?
  8. Wow, even more detail. Thanks Poopie. Got my harness all sewn up and even added the cover for the buckle. making the sling for the battery tomorrow. pictures to be posted tomorrow.
  9. looks to be @10inches from @stripe to stripe.
  10. I know someone on Facebook called 3D Empire made an early run on some not-so-accurate prints and sold his 10 pieces pretty quick. So there might be a small market there for you and $ to make if you choose to. But I understand you priorities for you Patrol Scout. (My next project) When you get a closer measurement on the battery pack, I’d like to know roughly the length from the 1” straps that hold it.
  11. Hey Justin, Your files, would you be willing to make a few for $ ? If not, I see a 3D printing guy in my Dallas area that has done some Star Wars prints for fun. I’d like to find someone who would be willing to prints a hand full out for some of us to help get this CRL close to final, and then maybe discuss making some big production for rest of the Pathfinders. This is my first time helping out with a CRL so hopefully the few of us can get this wrapped up.
  12. I agree. Velcro at the belt buckle and I think a simple outline/X pattern for sewing. I’m gonna get this sewn up this weekend for better fit and also add some sticky velcro under shoulders and chest armor bridges to help keep these from sliding off. As for the battery pack, I’ve roughly sized it up to be @4 inch tube? I have an idea of how it is held on to the belt, I’ll send photo sketch and see if you guys agree. BTW, the harness was very easy. -2” strap -1/4” soft foam -leather type material from Walmart. glued material around foam piece. ( my size measurements were 10” long/3” wide. Sew the edges @“.5 from edges. Made exact knife cuts to open for strap. I actually ran the one long strap through padding from belt to belt, the cut a shorter strap and did the in/outs for the top layer. It looked better since straps for so thin. same with side padding.
  13. OOOOOh Wow! These screen grabs are amazing! This helps 100%. The battery Pack looks so much more detailed than what I thought. I thought it would be a tube with some cooling fins but these pics take it to the next level. Good view for me to build the sling for the battery pack. I'll be starting that this next week while I'm on vacation. Also, the belt buckle looks to just have some strapping slide over with a metal buckle cover. Not too hard to make. The backside red wiring was another great view. Kinda weird how the sleeve wires just appear from the front to back wiring, but I guess that's the way it will be. (I think we can just use electrical cord, same as the wrap around TD and just paint red?) That baton though! Wow, that might be the hardest part to build 3D. Lot of detail. But looks great. This is so awesome to see an "upgrade" for a Scout finally! Add the Commander pauldron and we have a nice CRL addition coming!! Thanks MrPoopie! LOL
  14. You guys have any thoughts on sew patterns for connecting the shoulders to the belt? Also, sew or Velcro at the belt buckle?
  15. i thought the same thing, but I’ve blowing up this photos and can’t see a defined “box”. I do the the strap in the photo I posted. Below it is some small and black about the size of a connector or something. Again, so hard to tell from video game photos. So maybe we just decide early and design a “box” until we see something later that shows it better or without. There are definitely a couple of wire tubes or straps that hold the wires doing down to belt box on the front side of that shoulder strap.
  16. Side padding.
  17. Now forgive me, I just threw on the Scout pieces quickly for photos, sho there shouldn’t be this much gap between chest armor and belt.
  18. Here is a picture I cropped to show a possible 1” or .5” elastic strap that might hold the shoulder strap and wires to shoulder armor. This would help hold the straps on the shoulders but don’t see any pictures of them on the other side. So again, maybe Velcro underneath would help.
  19. Can somebody tell me if any of my pictures posted are coming out clean or do they have the watermark and blurry images? Not sure why if they are. Here is the rough mock up of my harness. I have not sown the shoulders to the belt yet, they are just held in place by duct tape. Waiting to get the exact measurement before I sell anything. Also the straps on the shoulders will need some kind of adhesive or Velcro to keep them from sliding off your shoulders, they do not stay up on the shoulders very well.
  20. Front
  21. I've got my harness 90% built. I will try to upload pics later today.
  22. So I'm starting on the harness, the shoulder strap details I think are obvious but looking closer at the belt side straps...do you guys think they should be stitched around the edges like the shoulders? With these screen grabs it's hard to see, but maybe we can decide if they should just to be uniform with the shoulders as well. I should have something by Sunday to post.
