It does make it a bit tougher build for sure but I got a wicked deal on this kit and it’s my second one so having fun. The helmet will be better than the one I currently have once it’s done though so I’m excited for that. • Future Scout Currently Not Living Anywhere Near Endor

Yeah that’s sweet indeed and looking forward to getting one. •• Future Scout Currently Not Living Anywhere.Near Endor ••

I have to tailor the bund tomorrow. Cut it down about 4 inches and pick up my cod piece from Chris (and my boots! Giddy!) and then it should all fit and look right. Fingers crossed anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any suggestions on adding some support/ strength to the pieces? Was either thinking some thin but strong foam liner or additional ABS pieces at strategic parts. For instance I bought a thick plastic pipe from Home Depot and cut it four ways. Was planning to glue a piece inside the bicep to help it keep shape/ form. You can see that below. Anyone done this?

Making progress on the trimming. Got the forearms, shoulders, biceps and now the front chest piece trimmed. Lots of hours of fine tuning, cleaning up and sanding ahead!!
-
Thanks not the final bund. It as to be basically cut in half and resewn. Just trying to make sure spacing is in center is good. Appreciate the feedback. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is the proper spacing for bund, belt and pouches correct?
-
I actually re-added pieces above and below and think it looks much cleaner. Now to add in some putty, sand sand sand then paint.

Thanks! Gotta grip right or regret it tonight.

Guess the magnet works well!

I thought I screwed the pooch with this holster but I think I may have saved it. Does this look viable? Blaster sits really tight and good.

Picked up a nice piece from Jesse & Nikki King (sorry don’t know they’re designation on here) that has a magnet and slight weathering right on delivery. Just thought I’d share and say it arrived very quickly.

Belt Height Trimming to Boxes
Lawless Scout replied to Lawless Scout's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Great upclose photos! Think I’ll leave the top lip on the belt and add a strip of Velcro to help keep the bund in place. And the belt properly high so it doesn’t slip down too. -

Now I have a new reference to use! The suede on the crotch should go down to just above the knees? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Belt Height Trimming to Boxes

Thanks for feedback Chopper! I’m really trying to get as close to screen as I can with the kit I have. Approvable is good but I think I can clean this up to a bit better. The boxes aren’t close at all. Who does belts like that where the boxes are that close? And I can see that the front space between the buckle and the first box is trimmed out to match the height of each while the rest of the belt matches height of the boxes. Great photo! Much appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Tristan's Biker Scout Build (Help/Advice Appreciated)

I stand corrected and thankfully so. Figured we hadn’t heard from him in awhile so I’d see what ever happened with the build. -
I’m going to cut em in back and sew in a bit more strap so my legs don’t go numb. Also do you think the patches are fine? I’m hoping they aren’t too short. Thanks again guys!
-
Well that’s good to know but I strive to adhere to the higher standards of the Empire as laid out by the Emperor himself. Or as close as earthly possible. Haha Hoping a local seamstress can take em in just a bit.

Hey guys Looking at the CRL it looks as if the belt should be trimmed to just ever so slightly smaller then the belt boxes giving the impression they were attached. Is that correct? This belt I have doesn’t seem to have been trimmed correctly. It would also help me fix the look of it being a 3-piece belt too by removing the main part at the top and bottom of the join. I’ve seen a few where the boxes hang over the bottom a bit giving even more of the impression that were attached rather than one piece. What say you my soon-to-be-scouts-in-arms?!

So I’m pretty sure I need to get the arms a bit taken in and would love feedback. Seems to sit well under the shoulder bell but there’s a lot of play behind. See photos in next post (this one wasn’t letting me add them). Thanks.

Got my suit and wanted to confirm something. There should be a little slack in the elastic around the thighs correct? Mine are tight. I also like the idea to sew elastic loops for the arms and feet to help them stay tight. Anyone have done this or photos? Only other thing I want to do is slim the arms and legs so they fit tighter/ cleaner for Lancer.

Any progress on this? Feel like people recommend the SC for larger heads. -
Thanks. Super excited to get working on this kit. Helmet looks wicked and super thick. Now I need to find a armor party! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can’t be bigger than the SC one I have! Haha. Hope not anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
