Thanks guys..appreciate the replies/comments. I'm leaning towards the RS as well.

I'm looking for a new helmet. I would love to snag an RS one but the wait times are so long. I did see an EFX one on ebay. Works out to about the same price as the RS with the conversion rate, what do you guys think? Which one is "better"? https://www.ebay.com/itm/EFX-BIKER-SCOUT-LIMITED-EDITION-HELMET-SEALED/202326975823?hash=item2f1ba0a54f:g:5qYAAOSwfHBa5lHV

My new Scout Helmet Fan question
spyder918 replied to Corporaldanger's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Try Henry’s Helmet Fans on Etsy..I have a set from him and he includes everything minus the battery. He’ll even custom what parts you want, don’t want, etc. I have a set and it’s great quality! https://www.etsy.com/listing/542571379/dual-modular-ball-bearing-5500rpm-fan?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=henrys+helmet+fans&ref=sr_gallery-1-7&organic_search_click=1&frs=1- 2 replies

Looks amazing! Never heard of this company before. Only thing I can pick out is one of the 'indents' on the back looks a little off or melded together or something. Otherwise, looks awesome! -
Hey Eric, Take a look at some of the builds and you'll see how the belt is put together. Here's a great build to take a look at -

I thought about doing a build of my MC armor, but there's already some great builds on here to follow. But I will post things here and there, some tips/tricks I find that may work for you also. This first one is for the TD caps. I couldn't figure out a good way to 'hold' the tube in place while the glue was drying. So I found these 1in adapters in the plumbing department at Home Depot. What's great about these is the threading on them because they hold the tube in place and also having these on makes centering the tube a bit easier as well. I'm not sure if these will fit the clear braided vinyl tubing if you decide to go that route, but these for sure fit the plastic tubing that comes with a lot of kits. I'm sure you can find the correct adapter should you choose to go the clear braided vinyl route as well. I cut the ends off with a dremel, sanded the inner edges down a bit to follow the curvature of the end caps and also sanded down the threading too, just to make it fit a little better. Well enjoy and hope this is useful.

This is a good source too. Just received mine. Cheap, great quality, and speedy delivery. https://www.knifekits.com/vcom/belt-clip-universal-sheathholster-model-black-tactical-finish-p-4192.html?osCsid=5risap5m6ku4teo8pqimcvkvi5

These are the TD end caps that came with my MC kit and I'm wondering if the concave-ness is enough for Lancer?
-
One more question about the tank. I noticed the CRL mentioned the bottom needs to be riveted. But I’ve seen some Lancers using a regular screw and bolt. What is currently correct?
-
Thanks Mickey for confirming. Appreciate that!

I saw a few pics of a biker that has a red square light near his tank topper. Is this screen accurate? Where's that from? Will it pass Lancer?
-
Thanks guys!

I'm doing test fits with my new MC armor. Awesome armor btw. I realize I should be doing this with my flight suit on, but I don't have it yet. If you take a look at the pic below with my forearm piece, should there be that much gap on the sides? Should the sides be tighter/closer to my arm? Do I need to give these puppies a hot bath? All the pieces on my arms have about the same amount of gap. I'm coming from building TK armor where every piece had to fit like a glove. Please let me know...thanks!

RS Prop Masters Scout Trooper armor
spyder918 replied to jkno's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Weird why the red label version is cheaper than the regular helmet. -
I noticed on lancer approved submissions, some have the little greeblie on the topper to the right and some have it to the left. I'm guessing it doesn't matter since these were lancer approved?
-
Thanks guys!

What type of red do you guys use for the strip on the topper? Flat red? Gloss red? I noticed too some paint a line narrower than the entire strip.

Best place for Balaclava and/or Mic system.
spyder918 replied to Qebenner's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
Ok for the balaclava to have a logo? I'm assuming no. -
Thanks guys!
-
So I noticed on some chest armor there's a 'cut' on the bottom edge. Some have this some don't. Is this just a design nuance from particular armor makers or? Will it qualify/disqualify one from basic/lancer approval? Which is screen accurate, having the cut or not having it?

Tank top greeblie - white circle
spyder918 replied to spyder918's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Right..I was thinking of using one of these too but how? Use it to cut out a hole to make a template or? -
Hey scouts, wondering how some of you painted the white circle on the tank topper? Freehand? Did you use some kind of template? I was thinking of maybe getting these below..just not sure if the size is correct though. https://trooperbay.com/abdominal-plate-masking-template
