  1. I was at Disney CA Adventure on Friday and Disneyland Saturday; I did stop by the Hilton for a bit on Friday though
  2. Plasti dip works; but yeah paint on rubber is pain mine did same thing so I just hid it with weathering since the rubber cracks and peels the paint anyway. Made my leg pieces the most beat up on my kit
  3. Looking good id wait till you have the whole kit to figure out how far to go with weathering. I always like to think about the story I'm telling; did I fall off a cliffs of battu, did I have to brace against Oga's while firing on resistance scum, etc I'm also a fan of washes and using an old dirty cloth to "clean" up I might try some airbrushing if I can find a decent set and learn how to do it because I'm jealous of the weathering on Jeff's buckets
  4. Was great running into so many of you at Celebration, hoping by time we get to Celebration Orlando in 2024 I'm hoping I'll have enough time to kit up as well. Will try to be more active on here as well as I'm hearing there are 3 kits that just got sent out and I know of at least one slowly building. Feel free to find on the book of faces at Dustin Blake Graham or on Insta Wanna Be Famous Gram TK85751
  5. Ending up having flex issues with not be a full print. However was able to make a molds using those 3d printed straps and got some advise from KB Props on materials they use to cast their flexible shoulder straps and I believe I'll be doing that. Mold is made my friend that has experience with this has been busy so haven't finished yet. Plan is to cast the nylon strapping material in the mold itself so in theory when you pull the straps out the mold they will have that nylon in the rubber strap already than I can attach with velcro looping inside the strap holders on the shin armor. The bottom strap will be a bit trickier though
  6. I think I've talked to him a bit on book of faces; but yeah hit me up I'm bad at getting on the forum. Still need to finish casting my new rubber straps as well.
  7. Looks good I think im gonna back with a regular nylon strap as well Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  8. That's what I'm seeing. Seemed very similar to a first order belt Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  9. Oh wow that's neat i didn't even that was possible. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah I can do that. They are 1.5in wide. And 1ft 5in long Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  11. What tpu Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  12. Looks like I'm back to the drawing board on the shin strap. The rubber material im using is too thick and causes sagging and paint chips badly. I may just have to go with the 1.5in white strap that every other trooper in history has used. Toyed around with attached a strap to the rubber for support to hold up. Need a light or thin material with those ridges but I'm coming up blank Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  13. I drilled holes in my td and put bolts through with a nut. Forgot length I used its a tight fit though. Need to do it before you do the ends. But yes that plastic piece is needed. My belt has velcro that this attaches to. Need to come up with a better mounting system though get heavy there and after trooping day will sag Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  14. Few pics I'm sure more to come as we find them Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  15. Finally doing events again! Doing an event in my trooper this weekend. Hoping everything still fits. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  16. That trooper concept does look neat though
  17. This is a new book that was just released, there was something else that came out awhile ago that didn't have anything in it. I'm curious to see what's in the book as well and if its worthy buying usually hit or miss on art of books. Take up so much space on the bookshelf but fun to look through
  18. the pic I used for crl should be uploaded there and you should be able to zoom in and see what i mean better
  19. I just dry brushed the snout silver, it's a toy so you have to think logically. Mine is pretty much all black with silver dry brushing on all those parts. That and I didn't want to repaint everything so the dry brush made things go quicker
  20. Velcro I suppose a zipper could work though Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  21. My friend Aaron in my garrison made them. I'm having trouble using the app to upload but if you look up boot gaiter the pattern should be out there. Was told it's a simple sewing project I wouldn't know I suck at sewing and soft goods Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  22. I used same material as first order belt. Its basicly just a shop mat cut up. Imo the stuff im using is a bit too thick and causes some headaches for trooping. Still working on sourcing thinner rubber ribbed material Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  23. Yep its done and approved Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  24. Just make sure on the spats you fill the indent should be flat and smooth all around Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  25. The e22 is an extra item that doesn't come with it the kit nor is it required Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
