update: today I trimmed the underarm armor. I used a dremel and 150 sandpaper. still need some refinements here and need to shorten the endpieces as I don’t have arms like “the Rock” [emoji23]. I tried to stay a tiny bit below the cast edge to create a returnedge. Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk -

looks great! curious how the planning would look like regarding the softparts. anything you can share on this ? thanks! Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk -
hey everyone, I am finally starting building my Strider/CFO armor kit which I have in since february. My RS kit built took me a bit longer but I am on it now ;-).. I am trimming all the parts before building and have started with the shoulderbells. The kit gives a very good trimline so I started trimming with scissors which works out great! the edge is still a bit rough but I have to sand and smoothen it anyway. I also rounded the corners straight away.. a good start a I may say.. follow this topic for updates.. PS: many followers of my other topics and on social media know I am not the fastest builder, but I am taking everything step by step and aim for near perfection and screen accuracy as much as possible.. not building means doing research . this works for me;-)! Finished the last steps and I'm soo happy and stoked. Proud I was able to finish the project just as I wanted! This are the final steps and how it turned out: Thanks to all of you who supported me following this topic and following my built on Facebook and Instagram. A shout out to @Strider and @BikerScout007 for keeping me motivated! Up next: building my new Strider armor which I have in since february ? Pathfinders forever!

Installed the chincup, put some Gaffers tape behind the earopenings and placed the helmetpadding. painted the snoutpiece grey and the mic black and need to glue the thing on the snout. I shaped the lense, but not completely satisfied, need some more work. the last step will be putting some stickers on the bucket, then it’s finished. The end is near??? pics will be posted asap ( can’t upload them now)

thanks bro!! I am soooo stoked😎 ahh thanks, yeah, I have to find the same kind of tape here.. thanks for the pointer! no I am keeping it semi gloss white , personally, not a big fan of weathered armor and bucket, so keeping it clean when it’s finished, I can work on my new Strider Armor.. a scout is never done!! update!! did some rework on the leftside of the faceplate with polyester putty and fix the returnedge and I am stoked... very happy with the outcome! I need to trim a little bit of the visor so I won’t scrape the paint of the dome and sand it all the way.. Then I have to make an appointment with the carbodyshop to spraypaint it, make a mold for painting the snout black, painting the snoutpiece and installing the visor.. the end is near and I can almost start on my Strider armor😎😎😎😎 Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk

Hahahaha .. you know bro.. a couple of hours I woke up in the middle of the night with the solution and that is the second thing you are saying: adjusting the bolthole.. and thats what I am going to do!!! thanks so much for your input😎😎😎😎 Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk

arrggh.. first of all.. screw you RS with your bad bad bad pulls... especially the faceplate and visor are very bad!! I am working on the faceplate edge, but because the faceplate is not symmetrical it doesn’t close the way I want. on the left side it closes perfecty, the rightside has a gap .. when I want to close the rightside a bit more, the leftside flares out.. It will work in the end, but this is by far the hardest part for me personally.. Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk

first fitting.. need to trim the visor a bit more. the right side locks perfectly, the leftside needs some trimming.also the faceplate edge and the return edge needs work update: I fixed the visor and both sides lock and isn’t touching the dome Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk

update!! built the visor and finished it with putty and sanded it. Then I worked on the faceplate and put it together with the visor.. Only need to trim the edge on the side of the faceplate so it closes perfectly to the mainbucket and work a bit more on the returnedge. finally have to drill the holes in the mainbucket for the helmetbolts. I also worked on the mainbucket and filled it and shaped it with putty and sanded it .. I am stoked! The outcome is amazing! one edge needs a bit more work and the mainbucket needs sanding with very fine paper.. so a lot of progress in a few days time. I am happy how it turns out! this is the proof that you can built a bucket decently when you research and do your homework.. hopefully another update in a few days Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
