  1. Finished the forearm armor, just have to sort out the straps for the bicep armor and they will be done aswell. Knee armor would have been finished but my rivet gun decided to be a bitch and refuse to grip the rivet after snapping of a small piece of it...
  2. Good point, thanks. Adjusted it and they now sit at just over 2 †below the Belt.
  3. Mock up of the belt, input welcome.
  4. Thanks. Still terrified everytime I cut the armor but no huge mistakes yet. Plan on doing the washer and plastic on the knees. Good to see some progress.
  5. Some progress made today. Cut the slots on most of the armor pieces (not my cup of tea, felt like I could destroy everything with every cut) , drilled holes for the rivets on the Belt/knee armor, glued on the rivets in the bicep/TD. /2910c86364886b3cff524cd1c63f7457.jpg[/img] Also put together the chest/back armor with marking tape and Tried it on with the belt. I did overlap the armor to make it fit better, how does it look? And is the belt situated right? To high/low? And of course I had to put the helmet on and feel like I’m closer to becoming a Scout.
  6. Don’t know the english word for it. It’s just padding I bought at a local craft shop.
  7. Thanks for the advice. Also got a good tip from Chef to use a router bit instead. First attempt at a flak vest. Arms were much to tight since I didn’t take into account the shrinkage when sewing the lines. (My wife did tell me but did I listen? :lol) And the arm was to long. But try, try again.
  8. Getting ready to cut slots in the armor, but holy hell I’m terrified. Tried a few practice cuts with the Dremel on some spare plastic and didn’t like how it went, any tips? High RPM, low RPM?
  9. Did some trimming on the return edges, not 100 % finished but pretty happy with them.
  10. That’s the plan. Oh I agree, time flies when it comes to kids. Almost an entire year has passed and it seems like yesterday we came home from the hospital.
  11. Congrats!
  12. Not alot of progress since my young padawan is taking up most of my time these days. Slowly but surely getting the armor trimmed. Added some padding to the helmet. Comfortble, but might remove some padding from the big pad so it doesn’t sit so â€highâ€. And glued some plastic washers to the Belt to help spread the load from the rivets.
  13. This is a very very nice build!
  14. Looks good, nice work on replicating the artwork!
  15. Good job!
  16. Well done!
  17. Nice work!
  18. Thanks Chef
  19. Went on a shopping trip today, found fabric for the bund, off white pouches and off white strapping. And some suede for the riding patches/flap.
  20. Nice, working on my armor from Chef aswell!
  21. Good tips. I guess where I’m at right now with the chest/back is obviously fitting it to my body, but Also how much I need to/should trim. More specifically in these areas, the return edges/sides.
  22. Thanks guys! Yeah I guess I’m pretty happy with it. Started working on the chest/back armor aswell. And I got my dremel today, time to start cutting soon.
  23. I feel pretty happy with the knee, shoulder and forearm armor, Belt and drop boxes. And the hump is atleast starting to resemble a fit with the back armor.
  24. Thanks.
  25. Alright, set up a temporary table in my mancave, spent the last 2 nights trimming some armor. Terriffied before each cut but getting calmer as I go. And my trusty cat Chewbacca is keeping an eye on me.
