  1. Just need to build one now
  2. Looking good, congrats
  3. Lone wolf. Beautiful lid for sure
  4. OCD is a curse I think like the guys said, the line may be slightly too sharp. If you look at the reference pics, it tapers off closer to the L Shape. So where you tapered it off above your weathering spot, looking at the reference pics, it should curve off lower. I hope that makes sense. I wonder if you do that will it improve the look. Tricky suggestion when cutting into armor, so some more feedback on that from others would be great. The cut line looks pretty parallel to the L detail in the Reference pics, and yours looks similar, so maybe your curved off too sharply?
  5. Does it look like the zip tie is attached to the white elastic strap under the armor? On the right shoulder it looks like it's pulling it out
  6. Thanks Shaun, I don't have a Blu-ray so these are fantastic.
  7. That is very true. Beautiful from an accuracy point of view may not be aesthetically pleasing in general terms. But for accuracy the warts and all are very important. The ROTJ CFTO TK is a good example. Not a popular design but seeing an original cast is wonderful for accuracy nuts.
  8. Best of luck with the build. Take your time, research, ask questions and enjoy
  9. Congrats and well deserved.
  10. Congrats Nichole. Great work
  11. Welcome aboard trooper
  12. Awesome job. To nitpick a little, I would suggest to tidy up the lines on the eyes and ear holes with some sandpaper. But amazing job all round. That full suit pic is perfect.
  13. Yes, elastic through chin cup similar to your pic. It should be quite easy to make the slots with a dremmel & then it's just a case of feeding through the elastic. I just folded over the elastic at the ends and sewed . I'm not sure it's required for basic Clearance but it's a nice feature .
  14. Good job on the bells Chin cup is attached to the sides of the lid. Elastic is feed through bottom, up along sides and inside. I will try and post a pic later to illustrate.
  15. Wow, the differences are big. Thanks for posting
  16. The RS TK and biker lid are cast from originals so it's as close as you can get. The TK is beautiful. The biker lid is also beautiful but has some assembly issues. The originals were probably made from a thinner plastic than we expect, but were made for film use and not up to the heavy trooping we do. I don't know the lineage of the fett armor though.
  17. Congrats Walter.
  18. Congrats Sebastien .
  19. Great job. Boot height looks good to me. If you shorten the zip tie length on the shoulder bells that should fix that problem. I would suggest pushing down your chest & back armor a little. It looks like it's sitting high and the shoulder join looks like it's not sitting on you properly. That will help with the bells as well.
  20. Thanks Shaun. Yes I have seen some that don't looked lined up as well. It would be cool to see some close up pics as well. Inside as well for the ocd minded
  21. Nice video. Looks sweet. Bad luck on the crack. Maybe the .mm of the abs is the problem? As you said it was light it might suggest that the abs is thin. Not sure what thickness they used on the film. My LW is certainly not light and could take a good beatin Interested in a few things. Do we know the accurate size of the joiner of the visor. ( Above the lenses ) . It looks quite big on the RS. Also where the faceplate lines up with the sides of the helmet looks off on the RS helmets I have seen. ( I need to study that myself . Not an expert ) Agree on the chin cup. Sweet weathering on the suit btw. Love it
  22. Nice job with the boiling water. Fit looks good. As others have said, trimming the bottom of the shoulder bells will look better. The SC ones are a bit long anyway.
