Great conversation! To be clear, the individual in the video never used the word "foolish." That is simply a PG word I chose to sum up his over-all message. When I stated that I agree, I simply meant that in my particular situation it's hard to justify paying $700 for a helmet. The work is exquisite, and there is certainly an argument for it being worth the price. Stroker: Thanks for the info! Gino: Appreciate your input--keep up the good work!

Greetings to all! I'm a brand new member, and I want to start my build! I'm shopping around for a lid, and I came across a tirade on YouTube from a 501st member about the foolishness of spending $700 on an eFX helmet. I'm inclined to agree with his opinion on the matter. He repeatedly points out that for that money you can buy armor AND a quality lid like his (which DOES look very nice), but he doesn't wish to reveal where his came from. Has anyone seen this video that can identify it? I don't want to shell out $700 for a helmet, but I'm 6'2, and I do have a large head...plus its an f'ing beautiful helmet. My research indicates most of the fan-made helmets out there run small. Any suggestions? Glad to be a member, and excited to join the 501st!
