LOL I assembled mine without these parts. Those tabs would have made it much easier to put the visor in. Live and learn.

For those asking...you have already reached LW. He reads this list and has already posted in this thread. From what I understand he is very busy and not taking orders at the moment. If he ever does go in for another order you will have to be patient. None of us would possibly be able to keep up with that volume of orders.

Nicely done. Love the breakdown for easy transport. Excellent detailing.

Yes the visor and mask should be glued together. Otherwise the visor will drop down in front of your eyes. Glue it on the top edge and at the temples. Double check as you are gluing that the side edges of the visor and mask line up. Don't drill the bolt holes until the visor and mask are together and use the center of the divot in the visor as your hole point. The holes that come with the helmet will not be in the correct spot.

I think your bund is sitting a little low in the latest pics but that should sort out when you put on the belt.

Oops...my end caps are already glued in place...good thing it's E6000.

I found gluing in the lens a pain in the butt. I glued it in with hot glue...made a mess of it...left it for a couple of days...pulled it apart and cleaned it all up...then glued it in again. The 3 day wait in between was enough to shape the lens so that it went in much easier the second time. A small block at the bridge of the nose to put a screw into also makes things easier.

Yup...pretty much the same as the Condor Pads that SC sends with their kits. They work so well I picked up 2 more kits for use with other helmets.

hi guys got a armor question?
jameserec replied to blholmes's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Make sure you are buying from SC and not from somebody who has done a recast of and SC set. A lot of recast sets available on EBay are crap. -
I use the "Condor" helmet pads that came with my SC helmet. They use velcro pads which you stick in the helmet so you can move the pads around to suit your needs. The pads themselves are adjustable in thickness with several layers of memory foam in each pouch. You will need to glue in the sticky velcro with E6000 or contact cement since the adhesive is really weak and pulls away when you remove the pads. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=11969&hl=&fromsearch=1

Need reliable source for jumpsuit and flak vest

Waiting patiently for my package. Once it leaves Bolivia and makes it's way to Canada it will need to go on the dog sled through the frozen north. Then it will transfer to reindeer sleigh for the final leg of the journey. Santa's reindeer act as postal delivery in Canada during the off season. -
The red line looks good for cutting out. Possibly a little more than that on top.

Any piece of plastic or metal you can bend and rivet in will work. You could even screw in a small block of wood if that is what you have available. Just need a surface you can rivet the tank to that extends past the back plate ridge.

Older singers work really good. If you are looking for professional quality then Juko but they run anywhere from 5K to 12K.

I looked at pandatroopers build and used the same rank stripes as he did. Also his transfer technique with the painters tape made it easy to line them up.

Yup...looks just like mine too

I just used industrial velcro. Put a piece on the back of my belt and presto TD sticks. Haven't completed the whole outfit yet but initial testing seems promising.

LW is still a member of this list but he is very busy and as far as I can tell he is not making the helms for sale any longer. If he does you can bet there will be a rush on them.

Helmet padding, Need help/suggestions
jameserec replied to shdwtrpr13's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I used a "Condor Helmet Pad Kit" which came with my SC helmet. It uses velcro stickies and foam filled pouches so that it can be customized to fit any size or shape. Condor site sells them for about $22 per kit. I am replacing the stickies with industrial velcro because it sticks much better but that's a personal preference. You can also glue the stickies in with contact cement for a better bond. -
Currently the blaster pistol is the only scout weapon that is cannon. Some scouts do have permission from their GML to carry the DC-15x. Bottom line is that it is something you will need to discuss with your GML to get authorization for cannon events.

Visor and Faceplate glued at the top and at the temples. The small holes were from SC but they did not line up with the pivot point. I clamped and taped the helmet together and then drilled a hole through the temple divots.
