  1. We are currently speaking with crowprops about designing a new cummerbund that will all be one color. It should be available soon. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  2. That works. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  3. Hey Jason, as far as I know, there aren't any sellers currently who have completed Kashyyyk undersuites. We have been talking to some sellers, but no one has picked up the project. You may want to try eBay to find the British DPM desert camo. For coloring, all you're looking for is a light brown and medium to dark brown camo motif. The two contrasting browns dyed with the brown and black dyes are what causes the undersuite to look the way it does on film. Keep in mind that the British dpm desert camo is just for level 2. 4. You put the uv resin on and then either use a uv light to harden it or take it outside. Uv rays from the sun do the trick. But be careful with leaving it out depending on the filament used. It could melt. Mixing acetone and bondo just thins out the bondo. If you watch galactic armory videos you can see that it's a method they use. The goal is really smoothing out the area so there are no lines. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah dude you got some pretty significant print lines going on. There are lots of ways to smooth them. I've mixed acetone and the orange bondo and painted it onto areas. I've used uv resin on areas, I've used plastidip. I've used a combination of all of them. You want your kit to look great all around if your kit is on point and you've got a gun that has a whole bunch of print lines people are going to notice. Just be careful to smooth out the print lines but not destroy the detail in the different details on your blaster. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  6. Ideally, you want to make it as smooth as you can. Send a pic so we can see what it looks like. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  7. You will want to obtain your visor from them. To my knowledge you can only get the emerald visor from them. Some people have also purchased an emerald colored window cling and attached it to a welders visor replacement. Kalevala visors connects it themselves. That's why I suggest them. 8. Make your own stuff, that's the first thing I ever sewed and I got approved with mine Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  9. The standard dye people buy is Rit Dye if you have poly cotton blend you want Rit Dye More. The colors you want is the chocolate Brown and Black. The paint colors you need are listed in the sections of the crl. You need Kahki, Panzer Green and Flat Earth Brown. Some people have struggled to find the Panzer Green and Flat Earth Brown. I suggest the Rustoleum Camo Paints if you have them available. Your looking for a Sandy Light Tan Kahki Color. A darker forest Green color and a dark brown. If you need to upload pics with any images or pics we are here for you. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  10. That's one of the rough things about the kit, finding the right tops and bottoms. You just gotta keep looking. I can't remember where I got mine from 6 years ago. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  11. It can be confusing if you're new to all of this. That's ok, I was new to it all once as well. The way you're going to create the Mandarin collar is by taking one of the pouches you took off of the top or bottom and create a square end with it you affix a piece of velcro to both the flap you created and onto the opposite collar end so that you can close it. Likewise with the thigh pouch. You take one of the pouches you removed from the suit, and you create a box to the specifications on the crl and sew it back onto the front of the thigh in the location indicated in the picture. Then, you will find some oatmeal colored suede or feux suede and cut it to the shape you need and sew it between the legs. With the dye, you want to buy rit brand dye, you can find it at Walmart or Joannes. It gives instruction on the bottle of how to use it. The less time you have the fabric in the dye, the darker it will get. You don't want to sew on the suede until after you've dyed the top and bottom. I didn't know how to do any of it either until I created my own kit. The learning process is the fun part. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  12. These are what you are looking for, you will be removing the pockets from the blouse and pants sew up a pouch on the front of the thigh, remove the buttons on the blouse and create a mandarin collar for it and dye them both with Dark Brown and black dye then sew a patch between the legs. The biggest difficulty with the undersuite is trying to get the top and bottom the same color. (Mine isnt) the best way to do this is by finding 100% cotton tops and bottoms (mine are not which is why my tops and bottoms aren't the same color) Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  13. Hey there, welcome to the forums! Thanks for the heads up Mickey, we do have a couple of options for approvable 501st armor. If your savvy with 3D printing you can get the files either from Galactic Armory or Christhepropguy. If you want to buy a kit, you can still buy the kit from Chris or you can also do a search for Kashyyyk armor for sale from Biker Chick. If you do 3d print the armor you can obtain the extra strapping for the pieces from either Chris or Bikerchick. Hopefully this helps you get started with your kit. Feel free to send any other questions you have. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  14. Everything is looking great Chris, the two arm greeblies are supposed to be grey and the too of the tank is black. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  15. Welcome to pathfinders sir Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  16. The helmet looks good. You should be able to pass basic approval with this helmet. But I need to see if you've got the mesh in the ear holes. Is this 3d printed? Where is this helmet from? You might want to make your brown and green camo spread just a little bit more, you have a lot of kahki showing through. But don't overdo it. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  17. Congrats on the approval! The kit looks great! Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  18. You don't need to see through the scope. Here are some shots of mine that I've been using for the last 7 years. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  19. You can either reach out to Bikerchick here in the boards, I think I've heard she sells the silicone greeblies seperately from the kits but I'm not 100% positive or I've seen more recently that people have been creating the belt out of leather, chris sells his kits with leather strapping in place of the silicone. I don't think there is a specification of those part being a certain material on the crl just that the design elements need to be there. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  20. If you haven't done it yet, request full access to the pathfinders forum.
  21. This is kinda personal preference, there isn't anything in the crl about having a green tint on the kahki but I can understand why you would want it since some of the stills kind of look like there is a slight green tinge. I'm guessing your kit has already been approved? When people make minor adjustments to their kits, I know some gmls want people to resubmit pics for approval. That might be something you want to discuss with your GML. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  22. Yeah man, get started. It's fun being in the kashyyyk kit. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  23. I've enjoyed helping you and Chris with both your builds. I look forward to updating the crls and helping potential Kashyyyks get into more accurate kits that are closer to what is seen on screen. You're doing great. I know the feeling of being defeated after taking so much time to work on a kit only to have a list that needs to be changed and I also know how intense every part of this kits build can be. Keep it up and you will get there. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  24. Get the straps on em Chris
  25. Looking good so far
