Scout Blaster on Hole in the Ground Productions
EnigmaEngine replied to Kyuzo Larkin's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Weapons
I've only ever had a DVH, but I love it. It BOUNCES. -
Got a link that says "this account has been suspended." Probably not a good sign.

Mid-thigh-ish, about even with the codpiece. What I did was feed the strap through the boxes, and clamp the ends in place on the back of my belt. Then kept adjusting until the boxes hung where I wanted them (both looking from above and in a mirror, checking against other pictures/build threads) , trimmed the excess off the strap ends, and proceeded to attach etc. I rednecked up the inside of the boxes by using white duct tape to attach the strap to the box and prevent them sliding around.

Gonna be sweet when it's done! Good luck!

Oh, your hump is fine. ("What hump?") But seriously, I have at least that much gap, as do others. The tank often doesn't sit perfectly flush.

I didn't find the washers I needed at Home Depot; I DID find them at Lowe's.

1/4" length worked for me on most things, but some needed 1/2" length.

It's clean, that's why it looks weird. -
Looking to have a Scout costume ready before halloween

Dropped a PM with basics. But pretty much what Lou said. -
Well done, scout!

I moved mine to the inside of my chest plate via sticky velcro and duct tape. Looks better and more secure.
-
Hit the "for sale/trade" section and look for NegativeEleven, Duff/Duku, and a few others. I have a Duff myself.
-
Permanent mounting tape, for me.
-
I used three layers of sticky-backed white foam, cut to slightly smaller shape and applied to the inside of the codpiece.
-
Looking sharp, sir!

I just raise my voice a bit.

New action for previously owned TB

Aye, bund up so it doesn't show under the belt, pouches in a little to the edges of the vertical stitching....but looking good! -
SC is what I've got. PM inbound!
-
Don't paint the rivets on the knees or the tank. Not sure about the ones one the belt. Hang onto your reciept for your armor case....I had to return my first one to Wal-mart because it turned out to be too small for all my gear!
-
I certainly approve of your captive, having taken a similar one myself when I completed my build. Third row down, all the way at the right. "Sassytrooper ain't takin' nunna ya rebel shennanigans, honey!" Looks good! The only nitpicks I have (which are exactly that, picking nits) are that the dropboxes look huge (I assume this is a KS kit), the pouches may need to be spaced another inch or two apart (in an ideal world they're at the outermost edges of the bund ribbing), and you need to take care of your cameltoe. But NOTHING that would prevent approval here!
-
Hey, if I could currently swing it, I'd probably pick one up. I can't fit my glasses inside my KS, and the slightly bigger interior of a CB might allow it. But....one day. One day when I've paid things off.

For the rivets, probably. I've got plain metal washers in mine.

There's a really subtle guide/indent, but yeah. I don't think you're very far off. Check some build threads.

Congrats!

hi guys got a armor question?
EnigmaEngine replied to blholmes's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
SC is currently very popular. Great accuracy, reasonable price, fantastic customer service. It's what I wear.
