  1. Not to mention, you did the hard part on the belt. All I did was finish strapping it. lol I will see if I can hike the knee pads up with velcro tabs to keep them off the boots.
  2. Thanks Chex! But if I go any shorter on the boot, the holster rides on my foot. lol Joys of a short trooper.
  3. Chef, you are absolutely right. I had read where it was a fan concept. But I do like the design and intend to use it only for non Canon troops and cons. The only canon troop I really participate in anyway is SWW. Which makes me wonder now if any other weapons besides the hold out blaster are OK for Canon troops. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  4. I am starting this project myself. I have a Hasbro e-11 with a Doopy kit on it. I plan on lengthening the barrel and using a nerf gun stock to get the look like this. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  5. Having some disposable funds is a good way to begin! Haha. But before you buy anything, do exactly what you did here and ask people who have been there whether it is a good buy. There are a handful of very reputable armor makers and wait times can vary depending on factors. There is also the trade forum here in the cantina where you can often find used items. My suggestion, if you have the money, order a set of SC armor (remember not to spell out any armor maker names) and while you are waiting, work on acquiring your soft parts. 6. No no no. LoL. First, that looks like a Rubies. (Im on my phone and cant expand it for so e reason) And while it is a licensed helmet, they are made of vinyl and seriously warped. There are a few threads of people that have made a Rubies bucket wearable through painstaking reconstruction. But if you pay more than $25 for one, you got ripped. Second, stay away from Flea Bay like the plague. There are vetted armor makers found here in the forum that will give you quality for your money. That other auction place will just give you tears. Good luck and ask questions. There are a ton of knowledgeable and helpful people here. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  7. It's Florida. You can't walk outside in white boots without getting them dirty. And it has been raining a lot.
  8. Alright, hit me like a tree on Endor!
  9. I have seen both, with pouches flaccid (heh, flaccid) and with items inside them to give them shape. I have also seen them with such a crisp shape that the corners may cause damage to the unaware passerby! Lol And to my knowledge, there is no inspection of the contents of the pouches. Although, that being said, convention security may ask to see inside if they reasonably believe it could conceal a contraband item. Many scouts use a hollow former to give them shape and keep them usable ad pouches for keys and wallet and whatnot. Also, the pouch is a common place to the speaker for a voice amp. 10. Nice! I wish I could get my visor open that far. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  11. Pics or it didn't happen.
  12. Test fitting parts.
  13. I think my helmet is finally passable. It was kind of wonky, but it looks great from 3 feet away!
  14. I got the helmet second hand from a fellow squad member and was told it is a SC bucket. I had intended to use magnets to keep the lid closed, but due to the helmet and visor not lining up just right and no luck with using heat, I switched to small velcro tabs that keep everything in place nicely when closed. I have an accurate set of mounting hardware that came with it. That will be installed this evening. The lense and decal set are from Trooperbay. And the snout is from DV here on the boards. His really are top notch and I got one from his new mold. So crisp. More pics this weekend. Thanks for the comments. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  15. Had to take a break, but that doesn't mean I haven't been trying to get things done.
  16. Finished my diaper, er, I mean cummerbund. That's enough for this evening. I'm tired!
  17. Test fitting my knees.
  18. I know the tutorial you are talking about. I tried that first. But I hate working with a jersey knit material and it did not come out looking good to me so I scrapped it.
  19. Is there any other way?
  20. I made progress on the vest this evening. I made it snug. I just need to finish the bottom edge. And maybe shed a few pounds. And with armor. I still need to secure the shoulder bells. They will sit better when I do.
  21. In the workshop today to hopefully get a bunch of stuff done on my scout. First up, I made new T-straps for my shoulders. Next up, the vest. I made one already but it was not to my liking. Hopefully take 2 will be better.
  22. You can see in the previous pic that the armor is yellowing pretty bad. One of the reasons I got such a good deal on it. So I did some research and applied 12% hydrogen peroxide cream and left it in the sun for about four hours. And the yellowing is gone! Before After
  23. Got my armor today. Thanks Chex.
  24. I just received mine today. I took the liner out since I am in Florida. Fit and feel are great and they got here fast. These gloves get my recommendation.
  25. Wampa wear gloves arrived today. I am very happy with them.
