Everything seems to shrink after being costume for hours...looser = comfort. If it is a little loose here or there just add a few stitches on both side to suck it in to fit. Believe me I have ZERO sewing skills...it is nothing to grab a needle and some thread and stitch an inch on both side of the waist and PRESTO looks great. Stay frosty!!!

Read read and read some more...all answers can be found in the forums!!! What is awesome for some is so so for someone else. You can wait for months for whay someone says is the best wont fit well for you. I have a big frame body style and what I love with one armor maker wont fit someone who is 150 lbs. Just fyi!!!

May I add some advice? I strongly suggest getting the swivel head riveting hand tool because it greatly improves the places which you can reach to pull a rivet. Helmets and small places hard to get to where there is little room. Also using the washer/backing spacers on the end of the rivet gives great support to the hole that you drill and surrounding area. I split armor in small places without them. Just my .02$ worth..MTFBWY!!!

My experience with adhesives on white armor when i built my Sandtrooper is this. 1. Have all parts cut and trimmed and ready for gluing 2. Do a trial run before gluing. Set parts together and use clamps as if you were using glue and remember that the surface to be glued must me roughed up before assembly with sandpaper. It needs something to grab onto...especially for E6000. Clean all surfaces before applying adhesives. Clean rough surface is what you need. 3. After putting glue and pressing parts together it is almost certain it will shift a little. That is ok but to much glue will squeeze out. E6000 is forgiving and allows you to wiggle the parts back in place if it shifts out of place a bit. 4. If you make a mistake "like i have done putting the left side shim on the right side" let it dry a bit and you can separate the parts and try again. It is a set back but let the glue on the separated parts dry. The glue can be removed with a small piece of wood rubbing back and forth. DO NOT use thinners or mineral spirits to remove wet glue. I know this may be repeating what you already know but it might help with using E6000 Correctly and not messing up your armor surface.

same here when I fitted my visor to my face plate..taking bits off at a time and fitting again and rechecking as you go. remember it is easy to take off material but almost impossible to replace it if you take off to much!

Hey I'm not one to "up one" anyone. Try sand trooper armor lol.... youtube has several videos on doning Biker armor. Keep blasting the rebel scum!

look up "Pandatrooper weathering" on youtube...there is an awesome tutorial on a sand trooper weathering...just use the technique on how he does his and change the colors to suit your plans... but wait there's more!!!!! If you also search youtube for darth hair "he is a rebel but still a good guy" he has a few tutorials on X wing helmet builds and in that he has weathering tutorials...you can use that style also..with those two guys there should be something that can make your ideal scout the way you want it to be. just my .02¢ worth!! if you want to dload the video from Youtube and keep for reference later I can tell you if you dont already know!!! thanks for the reminder of where I saw the collar post before.... Mine will be very similar size to yours Death Recon!!!

I have not seen any info so far as to requirements/sizes for the height of the collar. I'm doing a WIP and posting pics but I was thinking of an inch and a half should be good enough and 2 and a half inch collar on the back of the neck. A balaclava will be worn underneath. any input is appreciated!!

my suggestion even though I'm not a biker scout "Kashyyyk scouts rule" lol ok just joking... that you get your body armour first then while working on those parts research your helmet options with other BC within your garrison. Ideally...show up at events and ask to try on bikers helmets! Ask nicely or they bite... then you can go from there!! get involved with the SOCAL garrison "google it" and they will help you!

Dillon as you probably seen there are hundreds of topics here on the forums...My advice READ READ READ lol there are answers to a hundred questions in the forums. It saves a lot of time reading than waiting for a response! What are you heading for biker scout or Kashyyyk trooper?

I just ordered a pair of extra large even though I won't be doing a biker scout for several months. Good to get them when they become available I always say!!

I'm not a biker scout but the first 2 pics of the unasembled armour is not the same as the third pic.. The first 2 pictures look very very thin and the last pick looks like a professionaly assembled.. I would stay away from this one.

Born here....live here... Die here... If and when I'm home I usually check in a few times a day....what can I say I have no life LOL... I try to pack in as much as I can during 2 weeks home and never get everything done that I want to or need to do. I always try to put at least 2 hours a day on my armour usually at nite before bed. It is relaxing for me!!! Stay frosty......

Will be going home Wednesday...will be ripping pouches off the pants and staining DPM soon...can't wait....

I remember it feeling like cotton like material!! here is the actual pant description: "Lightweight desert camouflage combat trousers now current issue to all UK forces when deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan. Cotton and polyester mix now more hard wearing than the previous soldier 95 issue. Button tighteners and pyjama waist cord, zip fly. Two large bellow leg pockets, standard hip and seat pockets. Slotted buttons used throughout. Fully IRR treated material, these are the genuine issue, not inferior copies This pair is a size 85cm (33") leg and a 112 cm (44") waist....
