Yes I does. I also rubbed a bit of what you saw in the floor photos. I love the way it turned out. Just don't know how I want to go about the bund/pouches

The intent was mostly to go with a "greasy" look, not really a "dirty" look, if that makes any sense at all. I thought about using some browns and greens but that will most likely come later. The overall look is not quite what I hoped for in my head but overall I am very happy with it. Too late to second guess myself now, LOL. I hope to put it all on tonight and take some pictures.

Need some advice from the experts. I am currently working on a weathering project from my armor but I am having trouble thinking of a way to weather my cummerbund and pouches. I thought about rubbing charcoal on them...but my wife seems to think that will wash out. Any ideas?

I just read the costume standards and it does say lightly weathered on everything except the chest and back. So now I am a little up in the are on what to do.

I will, didn't have time to work on it last night. Hopefully more tonight. And yes, I am doing to boots, bund, and pouches also. As I am not going for Lancer and I am not altering my costume away from "movie quality" (ie, I am not painting it pink or anything), I shouldn't need to resubmit for approval.

I realize mine is a bit extreme, I plan to wipe a bit of it off. But I also want to be quite a bit dirtier than yours. I am looking for a look that still could be close to the movies but different enough to be unique and original

This is my main kit! But I want to look like the scouts in the movie that we all know in love, not the scouts on the death star that work behind a desk. A dirty scout is a busy scout

I am currently looking into purchasing a little 10w amp set from a BSN member and I wondering what others are doing to mount the amp to the inside of the chest plate? I have SC armor and it seems like I have plenty of room in the chest plate for the amp. Photos are appreciated

Are the painted rivets on the boots for Lancer, or 501st approval! And thanks for the headsup on the forearms. I knew that already, but it always just looks dumb on me over the glove, maybe my gloves are to big on me...who knows. I will wear them over my gloves for my application photos. Riveting to the boot was easy...it was lining it up and drilling the wholes that sucked. Big deep breath cause drilling holes can't be undone, and you can screw up both the holster and / or the boots. So just make sure you triple check your marks before you actually start drilling and re-line everything up after every hole just to be sure. To put it in perspective it took about 3 hours or more just to put that holster on my boot. That is how careful I was, LOL.

I have today off and have been working hard to finish my costume since I got up. I have riveted the holster to the boot, which was a lot harder and took a lot more time than I thought it would since I had to trim it down drastically and round the corners. Now all I need to do is finish my flight suit and then I should be 501st ready! I will post the photos of the finished product in another thread. Once I am 501st ready I will start looking towards upgrades, addons, and Lancer! More to come later I hope... PS - I am getting super excited!!!
