Theres a good sized thread on them on the main legion board. Seems to be decent stuff.

eFx scout helmet preorders ready july 8
PanzerKraken replied to Donovan's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Looks great. Companies got to make money, its to be expected that such a product is going to have a price. It's not fair to compare really. -
In your hand the blaster looks the correct size but that can be subjective. What's the boot holsters maker?

Looks good

Further evidence of alternate weapons!
PanzerKraken replied to EnigmaEngine's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Weapons
There's a bunch of CCG cards for swg that had scouts with e11s also and other weapons, including missile launcher. People are OK with made up Nerf gun scout carbines but not using actual imperial issue carbines like the e11, especially ones used in licensed artwork.... Its odd. -
I use a KS with my SC. I had a SC bucket and it was quite small. Unless you have a very thin profile and small head, probably best to look elsewhere for a bucket.

Yea it works well and if you have it hidden behind the plastic of your armor, it gives it a nice sound. Transmission already sounds different from your voice and the muffled echo of the plastic gives it a extra bit of "realism". You could always make the static burst noise with your mouth too

Still looks great.

Is my helmet too big for me? (ks)
PanzerKraken replied to Goubatsu's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Looks fine, but if it bothers you then you might want to go for smaller. You want to be comfortable with your costume look. -
I really need to practice this. Didn't even realize to attempt to put on the best part by just putting it on like a shirt.... derp lol. Got to see how well I can do the bund twist method with what I got. Guess I should look into a small mirror to go in my box when trooping to help.

Fiberglass Scout bucket from ebay
PanzerKraken replied to CRISTONAMO's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
While fiberglass sounds nice and feels solid, it also adds alot of uneeded weight to your suit.- 64 replies

What are you attaching the magnet to the blaster with? I tried a velcro solution to the problem but the velcro on the blaster keeps ripping off when taking the blaster in and out.

Thermal Detonator too Heavy....
PanzerKraken replied to PanzerKraken's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Clips would be nice, would help a bit but not sure if it will fully fix the leaning issue. Might need to tighten the belt too a little bit at least if it continues to be an issue.... better not gain weight. -
So yea I got the belt nice and comfy, don't want to tighten it too much though to not potentially damage it by sitting or something, nor if I gain a few pounds . Anyways the TD on the buckle is causing it to lean forward a bit too much for my liking. Anyone else get this problem? What would be a good remedy? I considered adding Velcro but the buckle is right where the bund Velcro is which is real thick so it would be tough to install Velcro on top of Velcro through the bund material as well.

Everything Evolution sells is bad. Really cheaply made stuff that just falls apart. Years ago was working on a mando costume and got guantlets from them, so bad. They literally would crack and break in your hand. Others have dealt with their awful stuff too on other forums.

Received my armor...what a mess!
PanzerKraken replied to jpmas's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Always be leary of any seller saying 501st approved or anything like that in their sale. Was it an ebay seller by chance? As most sellers off the bay sell junk and love to say stuff like how it's 501st something or other. -
Boots with or without laces?
PanzerKraken replied to scout.trooper's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Yea considering cutting off part of the back on the inner boot because it's so difficult to get them on. Usually takes help from the GF to get the darn things on lol. -
A rivet gun is used to attach rivets. You will find them next to the rivets in a hardware store. Look up videos online on how to use a rivet gun before you try and do some tests on various materials to make sure you understand how to use it.

Looks like lot more work than some of the other alt gloved ppl have posted.

Hopefully your helmet vendor wasn't one located in South America or Hong Kong. Ladyswfous wasn't taking orders when I contacted her a few weeks ago, that she had too much workload to catch up on.

Most Balaclavas you can just open up to reveal your nose and mouth if you want. They often are not so tight that they only reveal the eyes and can be adjusted.

So many put the fans facing to draw air from outside so the flow goes towards the back of the bucket? Was thinking or having them around that area but in the curve aiming the air towards the front.
-
They look good, and as said it's hard to see the ribs even though there is an extra one, you really got to squint to count em. Hopefully these would cut the mustard for acceptance since getting right gloves and modifying gloves is extremely difficult

Filling in a hole in Armor
PanzerKraken replied to PanzerKraken's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
That sounds easy enough, I'll probably do some test runs with some acetone in the backyard. -
Filling in a hole in Armor
PanzerKraken replied to PanzerKraken's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Can one just take a piece of the armor you have extra and melt some to fill in the hole? Got extra holster and TD box not being used.
