  1. any work on your pouches or your gloves? You are planning to get a LSFU cummerbund right?
  2. What if UK KT's are with the US KT's? Onlookers will be so confused...... Just kidding Looks pretty good Darren. You might be able to use a Green wash that is just a tad lighter and with the weathering it might end up spot on. You are taking your time and trying plenty of options, I'm sure the end result will be great.
  3. pinned up my riding patch. Placement look good? Its sewing time.
  4. i think i have seen some measurements on here somewhere. I will keep looking and edit if i find them before someone beats me to it. Im glad your asking alot of questions, I will be referencing your threads when my armor comes in.
  5. I love the updates, I'm waiting for my armor to make its way to me then I will have to catch up to you.
  6. Here is what I ended up with. I have a video on youtube that a little searching should find that shows the basic idea of how i made this.
  7. Ok, here it is, minus the belt and buckles but im pretty happy with it.
  8. I agree, some pockets, armor, weathering and sunlight can change the look completely. Just offering my 2 credits. I think it looks good an it is better than what I have going.
  9. are the straps sewn down at the chalk line?
  10. Just dropping this in here to compare them a little better. The straps look a little narrow to me and not dark enough. Hoping this comparison will help.
  11. Phase 1 of the cummerbund build is complete. If anyone would like to see a video of how I did this PM me and i'll send you a youtube link to a little video I made.
  12. They are made on a request basis. Also you have to provide them the greeb. Depending on their schedule it can take awhile.
  13. This is where I am with the cummerbund so far. I am using what I think is the method in Lonescouts tutorial. Colors will be fixed with airbrush and weathering if needed.
  14. This lid will be the reason I start my TB costume.
  15. links do not work for me. 404 error.
  16. They look great. Maybe a little on the large size but I think you can pull it off.
  17. im thinking about doing a video for youtube on my armor build progress when it comes in.
  18. quick update. just received materials for a riding patch. and having some major breakthroughs on the method used for Lonescouts cummerbund tutorial, apparently I was looking at it all wrong.
  19. I am still learning and could be completely wrong here but could it also be impromptu fixes and on the set quick fixes to the armor with whatever was on hand at the time of filming? I'm sure with some of the stunt scenes these costumes took a beating and quick fixes may have been needed to get the shot done. that could explain some of the inconsistencies in the connection systems. If the TK's were to evaluate every screen shot they find, some of them would argue the use of gaffers tape to hold parts together. Again, I'm still pretty new here and this is just my 2 credits worth.
  20. GRATZ!!!
  21. thank you. I have a template I used. I will put the measurements on it and post it as well as how I sewed it. Should have it done by the weekend.
  22. first pic is with flash for the details. second is without to show a more accurate color, even though its inside and the room is not very well lit. realized I'm goin to need to put some thumb loops at the end of my sleeve to keep my sleeves tight under the gauntlets.
  23. thank you. I realize the stitching is a little rough but I am hoping a little weathering and they should look fine for my first gloves.
  24. hopefully tonight I will take a pic with boots pants shirt and gloves on and see how they all look at once.
  25. pants pockets look like they are flat. I'm not sure if there is a requirement for them to have any depth to them or not. other than that great progress.
