I am tracking about the shin/ toe armor. That is a project I am currently sorting out. I kinda just sat the toe armor on my boot and it moved on me. I am thinking of a suspender idea similar to LSFU to hold up my cummer. Either that or some kind of snap or velcro solution. I thought that the tapered/rounded end of forearm armor went towards the hand, it may look a little funny in the pic but that is how I was wearing it. If that is not the case, thank you very much for sorting me out. The cod, I will have to hold comment on it till I get it in place correctly and troop with it. I really have no basis to compare it to since this is my first costume, and everything feels, unique. My arms feels cluttered and I had no idea how heavy my cummerbund would be with lightweight cloth covered foam pouches. I still have some sorting out before I can offer a true opinion. Stay tuned for more updates.

working on the last few greebs and fit then the bucket.
-
When you do, can you maybe offer a price just for them in case, if I try to modify mine that I totally screw them up.

I am working on the best solution for me. I am glad to hear that you had the same issue and overcame it. I have foam. I will try next chance I get to make it work before I go cutting.

Any of you CB's out there with MB kits have trim any extra off your biceps or do I just have tiny biceps. I didnt trim any extra off, just cleaned up the edge and glued them together with the recommended method and they look a bit big on me. My arms are not exactly angel hair pasta but I can do more than my army standard for push ups

cummerbund is just about done, only need to sort out the front buckles.

found a belt for the Cummerbund and accomplished the attachment of the velcro on the chest and back.

I have alot of sewing for velcro on the cummerbund and a little stumped on a material for the belt and black "buckles". I havent even started the drop thigh boxes or helmet. Also a bunch of straps and greebs to attach. I am really motivated to join the 501st and the ranks of the Pathfinders.

please comment on what you think.

Good on you MB for including in the kit.
-
Thank you very much. that is a great idea.

I believe MB has the mold now, I am not sure if he is selling them separately yet.

the rubber type belt at the bottom of the cummerbund, what kind of adhesive would you recommend to attach the extension to itself as well as the belt buckle? I tried e6000 and it didnt hold.

You're very welcome, glad I could help. Your progress looks pretty good.

Parts assembled and ready for Bondo. pouches have a base coat now remaining armor has base coat and some minor assembly done.

I have not done this mod yet, but for what I have seen, the amount of flare that needs to be fixed can vary. I think there is a template out there that can get you to where you need to be. Put up a pic or 2 so the experts can see what your dealing with.

Yea the scratch was just a test. Not intended to even look close to what it should. It was just a quick test of revealing silver underneath. Thanks for the comments.

Here is a walkthrough on how I used cotton Duck fabric to cover my pouches. 1 Yard should be enough If you are Careful, I ended up using about 1 and a half. At my local store the fabric is about 10 a yard, usually i find it on 50% off sale. It is a natural color, I have not dyed it. Tools you need, Foam pouches Scissors Hot glue gun marker( i used a sharpie) and a sewing machine Here are my Foam pouches made by S****mos(not supposed to put full name of makers right?) Put the foam face down on the cloth and mark all 4 sides, rotate to the top side and mark all sides, rotate back to center then to the side, back to center, other side, back to center, then to the bottom. From the corners, draw a line at 45 approx degrees. also extend your top, bottom, and sides by about .25-.5 inches so you have some extra to glue to the back of the foam box. Cut the excess off. Make your corners by pinching the top and side together on the diagonal line you drew and sew along the line you made. Cut off any excess fabric and thread. Now turn it inside out. Put the foam box in and make sure the corners line up. Pull on end at a time, I usually would pull the top, glue it down, then pull the bottom tightly to get the rounded shape then glue that then the sides. The part for the flap is not much different. the 2 small front pouches are tricky because when you do them you have to use the left one for the template to make the right one. This is because when you make them you don't turn them inside out. Put your fabric on top of the foam and trace the outline of the flap and then add extra and sew it down. Make sure when you do it you keep the ink side inside. If anyone wants pics, I can do another and post them. Here is a finished pouch

Here are a few updates. These are the colors I ended up with. I don't have the needed liquid latex so I used painters tape just to get an approx look. Please just look at the colors and my camo method, not the layered method. In the pic is the swatch from MB, the fabric with paint on it for my pockets, just for color not camo, and the forearm piece. This is outside in the shade on a sunny day. This is in the sunlight Cotton Duck cloth covered foam pouches. I think the natural color will be fine with just green and brown then the white and black weathering. If you like my colors and want to reproduce them, go to HD and use this mix. I am going to start a thread with some pics on how i covered my pouches if anyone is interested.

Im not an expert but I think they look good. Pretty much the same as mine. I was able to get a little foam under my pad before I sewed it down, but i think you achieved the look.
