I should have mentioned that i have no interest in going Lancer. I want it to be as accurate as i can without obsessing over the smallest details that some of which cannot be seen anyway. The current CRL does not mention the pouch flap stitching. All of my soft parts are from CB. It does have the butt flap and the thigh straps but i did not take the time to get the lighting correct, these were just some quick pics. The thigh boxes I am still dialing in. I will have someone to help me this weekend after i get some adjustments to the flightsuit and vest, we will take some new pics and I will take better care to get the boxes correct. Thank you all for the comments.

Thanks for catching the pouches, i really just threw them on there to make sure the size was good. I thought i had it right but didnt give it a second look. The paintis exactly the same paint. Maybe the lighting was not that good. It was late in the evening. I recall there being disagreements over the correct positioning and that both are accurate. I am pretty sure mine is the same as Pandas and matches a screen reference. I can go back and double check if needed. And thanks for the compliments.

I really didnt take too many build pics. I might get the motivation and post some that i did capture along the way. I used Pandatroopers build thread for alot of it and since it has been documented so well already, Thank you!, i decided to just build on. I finally got my soft parts in today and had to take a few pics and take a walk around the neighborhood to get a feel for things and find where i need to make some changes. Once Photobucket is back online, i can post pics. I used SC armor and Helmet. CB soft parts. Under Armor Balaclava, Old Line armory blaster, morenza marino work boot as a base boot for the boots i made myself, and scoutgloves.com for the gloves. I think it turned out pretty well so far and i know i have a few little tweaks to make but i think it is troopable if i had to. Please, I would like to hear any comments you may have once i get the pics uploaded. Big thanks to all of the vendors who take the time to sell their products, and to all the helpful members who provide positive constructive criticisms to help our tree hugging brothers look the best we can out there. Photobucket is back online, here are some pics:

Need reliable source for jumpsuit and flak vest
Fettski replied to Punisha's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
I just checked my tracking number with USPS and my order is in Florida working its way through US Customs. Hopefully wont take too long. I want to give a hand to Cucblack for being great with communications. I did get the incorrect tracking number in the beginning but its understandable. The important thing to me is the quick responses to questions. Thanks Christian. and I hope you get your order soon as well Punisha and anyone else in the same boat. -

I put mine in and still no info available. CB mentioned it will not be trackable until it gets to the USPS. -

I feel your pain, Punisha. I am in the same boat. I have been extremely pleased with the communication from CB. I have not heard of any buyer being disappointed. I am nervous about the shoulder measurement, mostly because if there is an issue, I would be reluctant to send it back and have to wait again. If you get your order, please let me know and ill do the same. -
I could be mistaken but it looks like you have the dogbone upside down. I thought the arch should be on the bottom.
-
Can someone point me to where i can find measurements for placing the rank stripes? I saw them somewhere but cannot seem to find them again.

You are an amazingly patient person bobik96

I am confident these boots can be Lancer quality, but are they decent boots to wear? Can anyone comment on how the sizes run? http://www.ebay.com/...=item43c844c80d

Any of you fellow BARC's planning to be at Dragon*Con? If so, when will you wear your armor? I will be there with my BARC but planning to wear my Mando for the parade. It would be nice to get together for a group pic if possible.

Disregard. I see I missed this new gem while i was deployed. its really a tiny detail that i can easily add to mine. There is a thread in the glove section that has a good pic of it.

What buckle? they look good to me or did the CRL change?

The TB's have a visible separation whereas the CB's do not so the process is different
-
Elwyn5150 you are talking about a TB back correct? chilledmilk is asking about the kashyyyk back. I have a Mr Bungle kit and mine came attached but maybe i can help. It looks like the way it was attached is the tank is cut to be wider than the opening in the back plate so it gets pushed through the opening in the back plate from the inside. Where the excess on the tank on the inside meets the backplate, it is glued together, e6000, or some kind of plastic welder like devcon would do the trick. Then sand the seam on the outside and bondo then sand for a seamless look. Ill see if I can get a pic up today.

Ive been overseas deployed from Sept 2011- Aug 2012, back at it again now. I have kinda been focused on my ROTJ Boba Fett slow build and holidays and just getting back to my crazy kind of normal.

Hey Matt, I used the lower boot for mine and took a dremel to it. I think I may have had a slightly different tread pattern and then i just taped off the sole and Spray painted the rest white.

Heatshock's Kashyyyk Trooper Build
Fettski replied to Heatshock's topic in Kashyyyk Trooper Armor/Helmet
Looks great, just make sure to keep the shin armor under the toe armor. -
Congrats, turned out great.

Just a little note to help prevent possible confusion. When I first saw the topic title, I thought it was a helmet for the Kashyyyk trooper. The official ID for Kashyyyk is CB. I see why CucBlack chose CB but it may cause some confusion. Very good looking start for this project.

I agree, it does look a little busy. I like your start, very promising. Paint the solid base color then add one of the 2 camo colors at a time sparsely alternating colors until you like the fill and pattern. And remember, You can always give it a light sanding and repaint or just paint over small mistakes. here is something I learned that may help. on the "breather vents", I drilled small holes in the vents and used a shallow coarse thread screw to hold them in, I don't trust the glue and would hate to loose one. The black snout looks like it could use another coat of paint. Last note, the side vents look a little strange to me. I'm not sure exactly what you have going on with the screen and it may just be the lighting, but it may be worth a second look. It looks like a white line inside the vent or something that just caught my eye. I hope my comments are not discouraging, I think you have a great start and will have a nice kit when your done.

Looks great!

I have velcro glued on the entire back of my pouches with e6000. I sewed an equal size of velcro onto my cummerbund. the velcro is 2 inches wide i believe. I jump up and down and have not had one fall off yet. I imagine if you take them off and wash the cummer a lot then you might loose strength on the velcro, I just leave mine on.

I used 1.5 inch canvas straps spaced 1.5 inches apart

They look great!!! Better than mine.
