  1. Nice work Christian! Its looking pretty darn good! A couple of more tweaks and you may be giving the MLC3 a run for its money in the fiberglass scout helmet realm!
  2. Thanks guys..glad i could be of help! Forcesensitive...PM LoneWolf
  3. \ Thanks man. I thought it would be easier just saying it rather than taking pics and typing a novel lol. Yep, a little tricky, but not as scary as i was originally thinking lol. Thanks Mark...definately a quality product. The platic is super sturdy and the comstruction technique, though a tad tricky is super solid. Thanks John! I wanted to do something to help out other scouts with less helmet building experience. Im usually good with these types of things, but thats cuz ive been building models since i was 9 and building costume armor/helmets for the past few years. Its a great kit and well worth any kitchen pacing or cussing lol. Great job on it John. My fiance and her sister are going to both be doing Scouts sometime next year, so ill probably be ordering a couple more down the road! Im sure ill be building them, lol, so maybe ill shoot a vid while im building one of those haha! Your very welcome! Glad i can help!
  4. Awesome..glad it can be of help. Should have videoed (is that a word lol) it WHILE i was building it lol.
  5. Posted a video explaining what i did to this point. Made a fresh thread for that here: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=8848
  6. Since i put 90% of the LW helmet together without taking pics, and a few people were asking questions about it, i decided to do this little video to explain what i did so far. hopefully this will help some of you out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48vrRl98nOc Points i forgot to mention were that i used the measurement from the screen used helmet in our gallery for the center/top of the visor depth. I think it was 2.5" i forget, but its in the gallery. Also when i drilled the holes for the visor i taped the 2 pieces together till it seemed lined upas best as i could get it and drilled all the way through.
  7. It all depends on how you trim it out. I posted pics of the screen used helmet i am trying to emulate in the first post in the thread. That particular helmet has a larger lens area so, i trimmed mine to match as close as i could.
  8. Thanks Everyone! Haha a little bit of head scratching, but not too much lol. I really wanted to do a detailed build thread but got so into it i forgotto take pics! I absolutely LOVE it man!
  9. So..i managed to finally get going on this LW bikerscout helmet this weekend. Got it a few weeks ago but havent had the chance to get started on it. I sold my MLC3 to get this kit. Since this is one of the first kits LW offered, it didnt come with any instructions or guidelines, or cut lines. It was a little tricky to get together, but i think i finally got it the way i want it. Of course the seams need to be filled and the whole helmet painted, but i just wanted to show you guys where im at. Here is a pic of one of the screen used helmets thats floating around...i am modeling mine off of this one, with the lens space trimmed larger than the other screen used helmet ive seen.
  10. That looks good. i like the idea with the buckram..nice.
  11. Hyperfirm. Very lightweight, a lil pricey but well worth it.
  12. Looks great Mark!
  13. Mine is one of the aker amps...it is attached to the inside of my chest armor with an elastic strap i glued in. I didnt cut out the grey slot or anything. It works great, is plenty loud and i never get feedback.
  14. You can post it Mark.
  15. mine too! hehehe
  16. So sweet! i am SO getting one as soon as they are offered! Nice job on the build so far bro!
  17. I wouldnt need anything special..just tell me where to send the money! LOL!
  18. I cant wait till these are done! Woo!
  19. Man your killin me! looks great! i am SO getting one when your ready bro! Gets better n better!
  20. Also the riser plate is more accurate. Complete accuracy would be soild aerator with riser plate, but the hollow is nice for air flow....although i had the hollow one on my old bucket and didnt notice much difference with the airflow.
  21. Im personally in no rush...i just want it! LOL! i have my MLC3 that will tide me over till this comes to fruition!
