  1. Thanks Jim! Yea im very happy to have it
  2. A few months ago i was able to aquire the found part from the tamiya model for the bikerscout snout. Very very stoked about that! But, i havent had time to do anything with it until now. Hoping to build the snout piece and get it in rubber within a couple of weeks. Just want the bikers to have another vendor for this part. If anyone is interested just post here. No payments upfront, i will cast some and then if anyone needs one they can send payment and ill get it out the following day. Heres a pic of the piece in my hand Once i have the part made, of course ill post a pic. Any interest now is NOT a commitment, just want to gauge interest so i know round about how many i should cast. thanks guys!
  3. Good god ...awesome once again John. If i revisit the Scout...im bribing you for one lol
  4. Def an MLC Interesting indeed...
  5. i scrapped the clips and used zip ties to make loops behind the TD and slide the belt through that. Worked much better and is actually more accurate. Those clips drove me nuts too. I think when i used them, i just used a cutting wheel on my dremel and cut a square hole through with that lol.
  6. yup! i had added the top strap to my MC knees as well with no problems!
  7. I agree, that looks like a KS one to me as well. Probably better ya didnt win it..unless it was super cheap!
  8. well...that sure looks like it to me!
  9. Myself as well. Of course i just replaced my MC "squares" with this new greeblie to go Lancer..sure hope i dont have to change it back..i chewed up the suares pretty bad trying to remove them from my TD lol.
  10. Nice thats a great helmet! If ya like symmetry so much though, you may be disappointed in a few of the Star Wars designs LOL! I kid i kid..have fun with that kit...its the best one yet!
  11. Looks great! As was mentioned before..the trimming of the bottom of the shoulder bells and possibly the tops of the biceps will likely get you all set! You could trim a bit off the tops of the chest and back plate so they sit higher, but then you may need to redo your strapping, so thats up to you. I think the shoulder/bicep trim should do it for ya. Nice job...looks fantastic!
  12. gah sorry i missed this...im sure your past this at this point lol but...Well dont compare it to the KS..lol..this helmet is way more accurate! Use screen caps to eyeball the fit. I thought the same thing at first but then when i looked at some screen caps i thought maybe it was just an illusion that the visor is deeper. Turns out, that was the case. Once its all together, it falls into place.
  13. Helmet looks great bro! I like the "Lone Wolf forest troopr" decal ya put on the stand from the decal set..nice touch. Nice display room ya have there too! But i think you have one too many TK buckets...ill take that ROTJ one off your hands, ill PM you my address =P
  14. Krizzle...you wont be dissapointed! this is the best scout helmet out there now! i love mine and can t wait for my snout to arrive so i can get to trooping with my scout again!
  15. Looks great bro! Mine is all done as well...just waiting for the snout from MC!
  16. This legend line is gonna be sweet! Looking forward to the TK and the TB!
  17. This is what i use for all of my costumes. I fit my entire TK... bucket and all in one. As well as my sandy (less the BFG and backpack) and my entire scout, including the helmet. I did however just purchase a large rolling suitcase bag for my honeymoon..and out of curiosity, checked to see if my TK fits in it...and it does..helmet, blaster and all. Im 100% positive the scout the will fit with the helmet as well. The hendle makes it easier to roll around. Even though the contico tote has wheels, i always bungee it to a rolling cart as its eaiser to manuver around NYC/subways etc.
  18. Thanks Geoff! thats what i figured..gonna get that done tonight! All i need now is to get in touch with MonCal for that snout piece.
  19. Ok..im probably gonna feel dumb when i get the answer for this...but is there any special way to install these? or is it just cut a square hole in the visor half and drill a hole in the helmet and connect em?
  20. That Looks great Mark...will probably be an easy clear
  21. Glad i could help Mark! that will cost you 1 ROTJ helmet kit
  22. iactually got a small GLASS jar with a screw on lid. i had saved a bunch of shaving from dremeling armor and put a bunch in and filled the jar about 1/3rd the way with acetone. i guess theres no real science to it lol. but i let it sit over night and it pretty much dissolved the plastic almost completely. when you open the jar,the acetone will start to evaporate and the liquid with thicken. It was still a bit thin, but a few coats worked great. Ill post pics tonight/tomorrow so you can see how it came out with 1 application of 2 coats of paint and a wet sand.
  23. Ok! i filled the seams with ABS putty. (ABS shavings and Acetone) Had to apply it 3 times, letting it dry over night all 3 times and sanding in between layers. Its not perfect, but i think its pretty good! lol I also put a couple of coats of paint on it, and painted the inside black I know thats not screen accurate but i like my trooping buckets black on the inside. Going to wet sand and do a few more coats of white and hopefully that will be it for paint. Ill try and get some pics up soon!
