I was thinking of this attachment bit for the Modulus. Better emitter and scope, plus the folding bipod. http://www.nerfgunattachments.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/nerfmoduluslongrange2-e1427911054606.jpg

I'll see about going on another photo shoot and bring this along. Stand is the pop out bipod that I fell in love with, use as a grip or stabilizer for sniper missions http://nerf.wikia.com/wiki/Pop-out_bipod Attachment at the end of the barrel was one of the inner workings when I gutted the dart gun and thought it would look cool as the emitter

Modified a Long Shot that was missing a piece so I gutted it and added a few pieces from other things. https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/t31.0-8/11838567_692624104202733_8998772737093731669_o.jpg?efg=eyJpIjoibCJ9 https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtf1/t31.0-8/11850637_692624124202731_8886217406974292755_o.jpg?efg=eyJpIjoibCJ9 https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/t31.0-8/11894583_692624140869396_1749469547373147707_o.jpg?efg=eyJpIjoibCJ9

I like this one! Is that EL wire around the visor and snout?

Well if you want to get into that type of detail, the elastic has thick ribs too...
-
May be minor and I can guess the answer but I thought I'd ask anyway. Saw some images for scouts on pinterest and happened upon this one. Apparently it is a real character, but from a card game: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Unidentified_scout_trooper_(Dardano's_bodyguard) Basically the only difference I can see is a red LED on the T-bit (and the giant rocket launcher). Thoughts on the LED? Could probably just have it turned off for "Official 501st canon" troops. Small detail, I know, but still wanted opinions.
-
Have you tried Goo Gone? Haven't tried it on my armor, but it has had good success elsewhere. Goof Off will melt the plastic.
-
I see... well, no worries. Found someone else.

With the T-Bits, could I possibly get them printed in red? Wanting to get a General Weir costume going some time. http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TX_general_weir

Did the same thing with the tank on my armor. Wasn't great, but it works well as weathering. https://scontent.fsnc1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/v/t1.0-0/10167924_10205971174939114_5958004232040305020_n.jpg?efg=eyJpIjoibCJ9&oh=81858aecea9793c95cf6d3ca59138889&oe=563F501C

There is one I want to do for convention use. Magma Scout! Just color alteration for this image, but gives the right idea.
-
Yeah, I don't see a back piece in there... TK mixed in and a few parts I don't recognize. I'd pass on it.
-
Nice! Yea, true, the Shadow and Swamp scouts are technically spec-ops since the prefix is TX, we do the white and Camo here. Wish they could give us all the Scouts... In any case, nice to see a trooper making their own armor like this!
-
Looks really nice there! Looks like that's a long strike as well.

Wanting to get a weapon to carry and since I can't get the "good stuff" right now (maybe after the next convention or after upgrades). So, I'm going to be modifying a Nerf Long strike I picked up at the thrift store. Any thoughts on how to mod it? Did some repaint before along with sanding so I'm not worried about that part. Just basically what all would I need to do to make it troopable. Plans: Sand off all logos Paint flat black and add weathering Extend the barrel to give "blaster rifle" feel Saw someone doing a mod on the Mando site while researching. It's missing the cocking mechanism so I will probably just gut it and use as a static prop. Pic for reference: http://cdn.instructables.com/FX7/MJOE/H1JUH75N/FX7MJOEH1JUH75N.MEDIUM.jpg Have this extension for it so far, will add PVC pipe later http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140727211653/nerf/images/b/b0/Reconbarrelextension1.jpg Wanted to use this bipod attachment as it doubles as a grip http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110206050320/nerf/images/c/c3/Fhdgfjruy4weha.JPG Have a tactical light but will be switching that out for a scope later. Will also be adding a strap for easier carrying. So... Thoughts on this? Troopable? Or just my fancy?

Of course, if you weren't trying to go 501st, you could always follow it exactly and do a live version of the toy.

Don't base it off an action figure. Movie ones are stitched and then folded inside out. Just think. Would it be acceptable to do 8 ribs on the cummerbund because an action figure has it? Or 5 as seen in the movies?

True. I hear quite a few scouts get a KS helmet with SC armor -

KS helmet s good, but needs some work. Wait time, too... I'd probably just go with the SC. That's where I will be getting my armor upgrades. -

Hard to see, but do you have the ribbing on the cummerbund? May just be the lighting... -
I'm putting fans on the sides of the faceplate. After much trial and error this seems to work for me. I have a KS bucket, will try to get pics later.

Strap the shoulder bells down and probably raise the biceps so they're not at your elbows.
