  1. I just posted to a diff thread... Good to hear as I was out of country and thought it may have sat on my doorstep and was taken by someone. It will be received someday at least. \m/
  2. Hey gang, I have been off the grid for months. I am back State-Side and no helmet yet to be delivered. Are they on back order? Paid back in July. I have not scrubbed the forum for updates yet. Any news would be appreciated. Happy 2015 to all!!!! _Blitz \m/
  3. Good eye Chef. That is the same lid that they picture on the eFX site as well. Hoping since that was still the prototype, that they may have pulled that in tighter for the final cast. \m/
  4. Nice to know you can get one Philipp. Also, way to go on our Futbol boys again Brazil yesterday!!! Sunday, Deutschland will be victorious (hope-hope)!!!!
  5. Done and DONE!!! \m/ (yes, similar to the other thread...) Now to wait until Sept/Oct... waiting... waiting.... \m/
  6. Done and DONE!!!! \m/ Now to wait until Sept/Oct..... waiting... waiting.... \m/
  7. Hey gang (spcifically "jino"). I received the eFX Scout pre-sale email today. I am really curious about the part that mentions the to-be-announced LEDGEND VERSION... "This helmet has all of the pedigree of a Legend Edition, but we have something special planned for the Legend! But we can tell you that the Legend Edition helmet will not be available as a separate item. (hmmm, is that a little hint of what is coming to San Diego Comic Con next month!)" I take it that this is a secret to be annouced and possibly displayed at Comic Con? It would be nice to know what the differences are before purchasing the Limited including the price points. I would plan to purchase one but would like to have the info to make the right choice. Any Ledgend news would be nice to know before July 8. \m/ BTW - What does this part mean? ... "the Legend Edition helmet will not be available as a separate item"
  8. Jkno - super jealous!!! ) Happy for you that you were able to get one of "LW's" lids. Keep it always! \m/
  9. I am sure that you all are getting sick of my posts but here is another one... I gotta say that comparing LW's Scout lid to the eFX cast from the original, that LW's is spot-on. All the great advice from the board and LW's attention to detail made that possible. Nice work LW - (although I was never able to get one ) \m/
  10. I cannot believe that it is FINALY happening. Two weeks to sell as many fluids as possible to scratch the cash!!! (wink wink nudge nudge). I will be ready for the pre-sale after waiting these many years. \m/
  11. Well put everyone!!! Now let's get those babies produced so we can all enjoy them. )) \m/
  12. Finally!!! A true update. We all appreciate it Gino and thanks for all the detailed info. I will be anxiously awaiting for the presale day. \m/
  13. The less expensive ones are typically the clean versions. The sad thing is that they charge more for what I consider a terrible "weathered" paintjob. We could each do a better job weathering a clean lid for a C-Note less and have a better looking helmet. My 2 cents... \m/ BTW - I just let go of all my fan made Scout lids because my goal was to have all the fan mades. LoneWolf stopped producing his so that busted the idea and now I am focusing on Licensed only.
  14. No worries Gosdent. No knockin' ya at all. Just really eager for any kind of update on the Scout lid. If it is $599 for a clean version then I am really hoping to get one. Altmann's are running up around 5 $Bills these days (thank goodness I have 2 ). I hear ya on getting VIP treatment too. Just happy that something has been posted recently. Anyone else out there hearing anything, chime in on this thread. Gotta keep being patient, I guess... "Patience... you try to keep it but it comes and goes." ~ W. Axl Rose \m/
  15. Gosdent - with the ability to speak with Gino and be an insider, did you not ask questions about pre-purchase date, release-date and pricing and such? When I spoke with Gino at CVI, those were all the questions that I asked him. That was Aug. 2012 and everything that he reported to me was not even close as everything went silent on this build shortly after that. On another note, great picture. It is good to finally see it on someone. Looks nice and big like it should be. Now I am really, really, really interested in getting one. \m/
  16. HA HA HA HA!!! Yeah, pretty much, although that still did'nt work for me. My next step is to offer some drops to the BLOOD GOD and see if he may be able to step in and assist me. \m/
  17. Hey Neil. Thanks for the link brother. I need to check these out when I get home based on the v1 that I have. For all I know, my v1 could be a v2.... Very confusing... The v3 is easy to differentiate. \m/
  18. Hey Chex! It will be finished soon now that I am settling into my new life. Just got to do my boots and add suede to my jumpsuit. \m/
  19. Hey Jim (Griffin-X). Had a bit of a crazy end-of-Summer into Fall. Took me off the online grid for a bit. I put my house on the market, quite my job, relocated to South Florida, found a new job and am in the process of getting jerked around by the bank on the home sale again. Love real estate!!! All is well again and the dust is settling and I plan to be more active here again. I am suprised that there is not much update news on the eFX Scout lid. When the news hit it was like wild fire on the forumns. Now - NADA! I hope to get the inside scoop soon. \m/
  20. Hey folks, I have the MLCv1 and MLCv3. I have never seen or heard any references about an MLCv2 before. The differences are clear between the v1 and v3. The biggest being the "chin" on the bottom of the face mask. If there is a v2 out there, what makes it stand out between it's brothers? Also, would love to see any MLCv2 pictures if anyone has any. \m/
  21. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! BUMP !!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has anyone recieved any news on this pre-sale date? Back in August, Gino mentioned that pre-sales would begin in later Fall. Well, here we are and so far I have no more news. I would love some intell from a solid source. The eFX site does not give any info on the project at all so their site is not very reliable for info. Please post here with any news. Thanks!!! ~ Grendel_Blitz \m/
  22. NICE LID BROTHER!!!! Well, I am jealous (and happy for you) as well! Great pictures too! Well done. \m/
  23. I hear ya Chex... Slow going but I should be done with my boots soon (the only thing I am lacking having finished). Thanks for the PDF Barry. Nice tutorial too! I am not sure if the coat hanger wire solution will work with my resin lid. The resin is very sturdy when cool yet will change shape ever so slightly if heated up (being in the sun, etc...). A tutorial I have seen in the past shows the moder securing long, thin metal pieces that bend and hold the lids shape. I would prefer seeing/reading a similar tutorial before attempting myself in case I fudge it up. \m/
  24. Hey folks, Long time... I will be back on the board more often as I have just landed a new job so I will be "computer-bound" more often. Quick question... I have seen a tutorial out there in the past on another site that shows step-by-step instructions for modifying a Don Post lid. I cannot seem to find it or a good resource. I am finishing up my custom Scout (resin MLCv1) lid and need to reinforce the inside with metal strips (inside top of brow and inside the bottom edge) as the resin tends to lose shape from time to time. If anyone has better recommendations, please let me know. The below custom job of course is not "canon" but I do not mind. It will have a black (Shadow) and silver color design and I have a mirrored motorcycle lense that I will be adding. Here are some pics so far::: \m/ AND my TB collection thus far.... 2 Altmann's, 2 MLCv1, 1 MLCv3 (w/ FXv2 Stormtrooper lids - and yes, I do like the FX lids although not film accurate )
  25. It is a bit more roomier than the DP, KS, MLC. I have a larger noggin and it should fit me well. \m/
