Sorry guys. We're just finishing up on this movie in California and then we'll be in full production. Molds are made. It's just an impossible schedule to do blasters while working 6 and 7 days a week.

We're getting ready to make the biker scout pistols again. We've made a newer slightly more accurate master from the scans of a screen used prop. Question: Is there any reason to make the lens on the single-point scope clear for biker scouts as an option? I don't believe they were ever clear in the film but I know how sometime people like to have scope details. Just a question I thought I would ask before we run the new molds. The DLT-19X is in the works also with the scope already mounted as well. Our version of the DLT-19X will be the Battlefront version with the scope and no bipod. This will be made to the same quality as our DLT-19's that we have made over the years. We've never really addressed the needs of the Pathfinders as far as the DLT-19X goes.

Kashyyyk boots possible run need input
postmortem01 replied to a topic in Kashyyyk Trooper Soft Parts
Sounds like Bubba Kenobi has already found someone who would be willing to make these. The picture I posted earlier in the thread is what the boots look like in the CG file. I think that these need to be shortened a little and made of softer material higher up to allow the armor to set over top properly. Just my two cents worth... -

We might be willing to help with the masters of the soles if someone else will spearhead the actual molding and manufacturing of the boots. -

Is this boot maker located in the US? -
I rendered these out today. I hope these help. I'm sure I'll be working on mine very soon also.

This is what I show for the straps in the model without the textures. Obviously, the horizontal belt is incorrect after smoothing. The vertical straps, at 6' tall, should be 1.5" wide and the horizontal belt is 2.3" wide.

I'm sorry I'm double posting this in helmet and armor sections.... We had a little time to work on the helmet today. My back is still bothering me so Slavefive had to sand parts...lol. It's looking good so far. Obvously, we have a bit of work still on the main helmet and the visor has not been touched yet. The texture, of course, will not be there on the final helmet. That is just texture left behind by the poly-primer. -

We actually set this up for CNC. The cutting time for this visor is only 22 minutes. There won't be any vibration. We tabbed the part and split it. After looking at the dimensions of this helmet, the faceplate may need to be cut loose for some people. It's a larger helmet for sure. We didn't want to increase the size too much otherwise it starts to look like a bobble head. We should be ready to start casting these within two weeks. In theory... -

We'll be adding in all the details as we go now that we have the base helmet made. We are laying out the visor to cut right now. We're trying to determine the best way to make the visor....CNC or SLA. -

Actually, ours is a tad taller in the dome area but they are pretty close otherwise. -

Here are the parts quickly assembled. I am setting it next to this other helmet, not for accuracy comparison but for sizing. -

We actually do everything here from modeling to sculpting. Doing props for motion picture, we generally don't have much time at all. We just finished Iron Man 2 and are working on Thor. We have to make all the weapons over the holiday break because of the shooting schedule. It's crazy but we get it all done and work crappy hours to do it. Metal work, sculpting, painting, molding/casting, etching/marking, leather, etc. We do it all in house because of the time frames. Having everything under one roof makes it much easier to get things done.
