Angeal
This may be a dumb question or I am not seeing it right off hand, but does anyone have dimensions on the thigh pouch, as I read post on the board and looked at posted made by Mr Bungle and sgtski as both had totally different numbers. Among the pocket flap as well, need help with that. Mr Bungle says they are 7" X 5" while sgtski from the pics he had on his post about the subject says is 7.25" X 6" or is this something that going to depend on my height and where the pants are on me, as I am 6' flat barefoot. Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated as I am trying to make a 3D pattern of it so I can see how it looks before I sew the fabric on to the pants. Want to get it right the first time since their is so little fabric left.
chimei
pocket flap? pants? if you're talking about the boxes that lay on your thighs, the "THIGH BOXES" are plastic and come with any kit you might buy. the "POUCHES" are fabric and made to sit on the bund just below the chest armor. these are the ones that are about 7.5x6 and have pocket flaps. which are you questioning? if it's the pouches, i used the 7.5x6 pattern and they were a little too big on me...so i took 1/2" off adn they were perfect size fo rme - and i'm 5'11"

The thigh pouches are 7" tall, 5" wide, and about an 1" in depth.
Angeal
Sorry abt the confusion, as that is correct Grumpy I was talking about the thigh pouches that go onto the pants, not the drop boxes. Then again when I get the kit I may see if I can mod the drop boxes to where they are functional so I can store my mobile and gloves in them if the need arises among some other things as I am all about functionality due to have way have too many costumes where there is not enough places to store stuff especially when I am at a convention like Dragon*con. I am always looking for a place to store stuff, guess that why I more lean towards costumes that have allot of pockets like and storage like my Cobra Crimson Guard and my Cobra Alley Viper among my District 9 1st Reaction battalion and Umbrella Centurion as they are walking store bins when I get all the gear on and molle / web gear on. Thanks for the info Grumpy now I am off to make a pattern and sew them on.
Angeal
Okay made a pattern, but I have another dumb question that probably very obvious. But here it goes when measuring out the pocket is it 7"X5" only the face or counting the 1"depth? I know stupid question as I made a pattern in illustrator for both as here the original one I did that is the 5" inches in total, 3" is the face of pocket then 1" on either side of it. and a 6" face with a 1" for depth As here the other one I did after thinking to myself wait do they only mean the face measurements and not the depth with the 7"X5" The second one I think is right, but I may be over-thinking / over complicating this step. Please someone tell me which one is right as I made little 3D models and cut them out and placed them on my pants and they both look right when I look at people's finished builds. Grumpy
The bottom one is correct. We were talking about the face measurements. 7" tall x 5" wide. And then the 1" depth. You're not really over thinking it. Just don't forget to still have a little bit of fabric on the two tall sides and the bottom to use to sew the pouches onto the legs. Maybe about 1/4" to fold under the 1" depth and sew on the legs. And I'm all about functionality, too. The thigh pouches work well to hold things while you're trooping. Not including the drop pouches, all of my other pouches are functional. I ususally have super glue (Just in case something pops off), batteries (For helmet fans, and for other troopers that might need a fresh battery), and other things in them. Keep up the good work.
