So I have a lead on the armor, so I was wondering if anyone had some tips on the soft parts and cammo. Someone mentioned BDU's, in some countries pattern, dunno which country though.

So what do other people do about the cammo pattern?

right now we use british desert DMP , dyed brown then black. then you have to modify the thigh pockets and add a riding patch.

look through the sections because most of the answers you seek are there. LOL

Mmmk... Well that part is a long way off, thanx for the heads up.

I presume the "riding patch" is the white bit you out in the crotch area... How exactly is the pocket modified?

Ok, from what I have seen on the other Kasshyyyk troopers and read, the thigh pockets have to moved to be on top of the leg, what about the shape however, from the pics I saw the pocket seemed more ridged. So you just seam rip the pocket and move or do you have to rebuild the whole thing?

Here are mine as I used a seam ripper to remove the existing pockets form the pants and have my seamstress

create new ones and the pockets sit on my thigh.

Currently I keep foam in them so they stay square

Looks pretty straight fore ward, removing the pockets will be easy, making new ones... not so much. Dunno anyone who can make them, is it possible to re-use the existing pocket and just move it?

you use the material from the moved pocket to make the new pocket, which is smaller than the original pocket.

Let me see if I understand, take the old pocket off, and use it to make a new one, just smaller. And a block of foam should keep it ridged. Is the cover flap changed in anyway?

I used the liquid not the powder. Dark brown and Black.

Mine are 3' 3/4 by 3' 3/4. Yes the flap is different then the BDU flap and I have the flap secured with Velcro.

Hmmm K, I have to take a look at what I have to work with and see what I can do.

Hey all I am new here doing research for a KT. Apon reading the boards and all I have a question about the cammo pattern without having to use dye. The question, is it accecptable to use the NEW US ARMY Multi-Cam Uni? It looks alot like the British Camo but darker. Just wondering

While I'm not working on a KT, I'm not sure MultiCam will work as well. The Desert DPM that's being used is only 2 colours whereas Multicam has 4 or 5 colours. If you've got some material to test, I'd say go for it and let everyone know. ;)

I'm having difficulty tracking down British DPM in my size so I just bought tan desert pants and a shirt and am recreating the "accepted" camo pattern with permanent fabric paint, then dying them.
