pghfett Posted September 8, 2006 Author Posted September 8, 2006 I'm still here and working on the armor Tonya. The armor will be FG. I'm just letting you know - if you like the final product - I would be happy to adjust one for you later.
Snub999 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 I'm not personally a fan of the BARC, but it's hard to deny quality work. This sculpt is beautiful Phg. And speaking based on your track record, you have yet to disappoint even the most discerning minds on BSN. Stomp on my brother!
Ghst915 Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 WOW Mike its looking awsome, keep th epictures coming in. Im still looking for gloves in stock to make the barc gloves. So far I found gloves that work but none are in stock or in my size. All I keep finding are XL, XXL, this will not work. I need med. size gloves even if they have a liner in them. My scout gloves were med with the liner rremoved and fit just right. Also the gloves I have found are around the $23 mark so that is good. Now if I can just find a store that has them in stock. The holidays are selling out of them. Might have better luck after the holidays.
Sentinel Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 That looks phenomenal...I can't wait to see what it looks like completed.
pghfett Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 Back plate almost ready for 1st molding
Ladyghost4459 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Looks Great! Mike....Can't wait until you guys are ready to move onto the soft parts. I have been keeping myself busy with the regular scouts, but will be looking forward to jumping into the BARC project soon.
pghfett Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 The BARC soft parts will be the hardest part of this costume to fabricate IMO. Not so good pics + poor CG images is going to make this soft part build VERY difficult - but not impossible
pean12 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I must say that the chest plate is quite deep and should fit most folks. Nice job Mike.
Guest rudolpht Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Back plate almost ready for 1st molding I like the sound of that

Ross will probably figure out the details and I will do the sewing....I've done wedding gowns and Renfaire stuff, a little military uniform shouldn't be a big deal for me.
DesTROYer Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 This Armor Sculpt looks amazing. I hope when its done I can get a set. Im still looking to get a helmet from someone who will sell overseas. It just looks great.
TB-7076 Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Outstanding work Mike. That looks really promising and I look forward to further progress.
Guest Scattrap Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Looks fantastic Mike.... that suit will be something to be quite proud of my friend.
Army Scout Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Hey Mike, Can't tell ya how excited I am to see this coming together!!!!! C4 or BUST TROOPERS!!!!! Chris
BrotherHalo Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Damn, that's some fine work you're doing, Mike!
TB-8515 Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Hey Mike, I love what you are doing there buddy. I wish I could get a set myself, I have been in love with the BARC since I first saw them, I have always wanted to do a cammo trooper of some sort. I would really appreciate it if you would bless me with a few pointers on how exactly to build my own sculpts for this armour, as I believe the cost of shipping from the States would be a little prohibitive, to say the least. pghfett Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 The knee piece pic'ed below is preped and ready for the 1st molding. After pulling the preliminary piece it will be refined and the "indents" along the seam areas will be notched in as needed. Also, any refinement will be done at this stage as well. When it's all said and done, they will be paintable right out of the mold just like the chest and back plates (with some trimming on the edges) After the piece is finished a final mold will be made of the finished piece. p.s. the back plates first mold is done. - now to refine it - pics to come. ~Mike
TB0438 Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Mike! Great work mate! I didn't know the secret ingredient to the armor was cool whip though ... very good to know :-) Keep up the great work!
