Drewbacca's Biker Scout WIP

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I have been studying this forum for some time now, and feel I am finally ready to post here.

I have purchased my helmet and armour, which should hopefully be with me soon. After thinking I could have a go at all the soft parts, I have made some enquiries and decided to purchase the soft parts for my first build.

I have received my gloves and everything else is on the way. I look forward to sharing my progress and anticipate many adjustments after my recent trip overseas.

I am currently working on removing the clips from the gloves and sourcing the EC-17.

Parts:

Helmet - RS Prop Masters

Armour - RS Prop Masters

Balaclava - not yet purchased

Flight suit and vest - RS Prop Masters/Keep Trooping

Cummerbund and codpiece - RS Prop Masters

Boots - RS Prop Masters/Keep Trooping

Gloves - WampaWear

EC-17 not yet purchased

Great start so far! Welcome to the forum!

Best place to check for the blaster is in the armoury weapons area. Several options available, depending on what you're looking for. Good luck and have fun with your build!

As a fellow scout with RS armor and bucket, you’ll definitely be pleased! As for a blaster, check out Blasterworks. It’s a rubber cast blaster that’s excellent for trooping and passing off to kids for photos (no worries about it dropping). I have one and it’s a nice fit in the RS holster. Snug as a bug!

Hey Drew

Tarok (Rudi) from KFG here. Good to see you start your WIP here; you’re in safe hands.

With that selection of costume items your approval should be a cake walk. Don’t let the blaster hold up your costume submission though, it’s not a requirement for basic approval.

You may need to follow the instructions here to post images. Unfortunately we do not have unlimited hosting space on the site.

Thanks for that... I had seen the instructions and thought I was doing ok but connectivity issues added to my woes... will try again now!

Excellent looking armor! Keep in mind that since your pouches are off-while that you may have to tint your drop box straps off-white per the CRL. You can easily stain them using a tea solution. Might be a good idea to check with your GML regarding acceptance. Keep up the great work!!

Thank you. I wasn’t aware that they were going to that off white - I have checked in with the GML and will apply tea staining if needed. Thanks for the support!

Hi ya Drew again,

glad you got the photos up .

As I mentioned your drop box fabric is elastic, you’ll find it easier to replace and sit better with webbing, mentioned places you can find these and Chris has offered some for you, the photos in Knightfall the elastic is pulling and you can see there hooked and stretched.
You’ll will notice the swap over and will look more towards the movie scout.

Thanks, yeh I have reached out to Chris. Now I just need to work out how to remove the elastic glued to the inside of the belt and to unpick the stitching around the elastic to attach the cotton. I will post the pics here now that I have worked out how.

Glad Chris is helping with the strapping.

You’ll need to bring the bun up, is it attached anywhere? Basically to keep it up.

Otherwise it will drop drown when least expect it.
