Hi Gloria, the team would like to commend you on your excellent build and your attention to detail.

We have a few notes for you:

Vest:

Bicep armor is hidden by the sleeve length. Bring the sleeves up another 1/2". Also, bring the shoulder bells in by 1/4".

Belt:

Take a file or emory board and do some minor rounding on the corners on the back of the belt. Doesn't need much, just a little so they're not a hard 90 degrees.

Same with the forearm armor, near where the elastic loops through.

See photos below, if you need some references:

Pouches:

Bring both pouches inward 1/4" -1/2", so that they are not under the arm as much.

Issues that don't require any corrections for the application, but we wanted to note:

Buttflap: We were curious what this was on your butt flap? Is that a velcro tab? It's not viewable in your photos, so it's not an issue, but we were just wondering?

Boots: If you end up making a new set of boots in the future, you might want to check the stitching on the top back, where the velcro attaches. Note that, on the screen boots, the stitch marks on the boot velcro doesn't cross the folded portion stitch marks on the screen boots.

Again, great work on your application. Please let us know if you have any questions or need any clarification.

Thank you so much for your feedback! These changes sound fairly easy, so I should be able to get this turned around within the week.

To answer your question, yes the thing on my butt flap is a Velcro tab. Belts love to slide up in the back on me, so I added this (and the corresponding piece on the inside of the belt) to make it stay put.

For the shoulder bell comment (bring in the shoulder bells by 1/4"), can you please confirm whether you mean trim 1/4" from each vertical edge of each shoulder or bring them in by 1/4" total (1/8" trimmed off each vertical edge of each shoulder)?

Thanks again,

Gloria

No trimming needed, so please don't do any cutting. We're talking about bringing the shoulder bells in closer to the shoulder bridges by 1/4" -- just a small amount. All you should need to do is adjust your zip ties.

Changes complete!

Per the team's findings, I have done the following:

  1. Sleeves shortened by 1/2 in.
  2. Both pouches moved inward towards center of cummerbund by 3/8 in. each (I split the difference between the suggested 1/4 and 1/2 in.)
  3. Shoulder bell zip ties adjusted to bring the shoulder bells 1/4 in. closer to the shoulder bridges.
  4. 90 degree corners on belt rounded off.
  5. 90 degree corners on forearm armor rounded off.

Photos of the changes are below. Please let me know if you need anything else!

Thanks,

Gloria
