JägerScout's ROTJ Scout WIP

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I am finally back to the Pathfinders after abandoning my first attempt at a 501st build with the Kashyyyk Trooper.  Unfortunately, the kit was not of the best quality in my opinion, and I had a lot of setbacks on it.  Since then, I have had a few Clone Troopers (Boost, CDR Wolffe, and ARF Boil) but have finally decided to go back to my first love from the original trilogy, the Biker Scout.  I will be using this WIP as motivation for myself as I have limited free time and I seem to get distracted with a hundred other things, I hate adulting!  I would also love any feedback as I am a bit of perfectionist and have OCD lol.

Items Ordered/Need:

  1. Helmet: MonCals - Ordered 5/31/23 - Shipped 7/12/23 - Received TBD
  2. Armor: MonCals - Ordered 5/31/23 - Shipped 7/12/23 - Received TBD
  3. Gloves: Endor Finders - Ordered 7/14/23
  4. Boots: ???
  5. Flight Suit: ???
  6. Soft Goods: ???
  7. DLT 19X: Resin 3D Print -
  8. EC-17:  Blaster Works -

As you can see there are a lot of "???" for goods.  I am still trying to research and find the best goods that are the most accurate and best fitting.  Any recommendations will be great!

Thank you all so much for your time and I will update as I start getting items in.  I look forward to being part of the Pathfinders in the near future.

There are a number of options out there --

http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/forum/156-vendor-sales/

Wampa is what most people use for gloves

For boots, you can commission them if you want -- Crowprops makes custom boots, or base boots, or you can check with @Chrisx909x on these forums.

For flight suits and soft goods @Chrisx909x makes the suit from a redkap or other suit + cod and bund. Kriptontop on etsy will make them all custom as well.

There's also Chef's Creations in the UK, who custom makes the boots and soft goods.

Thank you both very much for the information.  I am researching it all now as there is a wealth of knowledge here on the forums about everything.

I will definitely reach out to @Chrisx909x and Kriptontop and see what they have and costs of each. As long as they are accurate both seem to be a great choices. I don't want to end up with the dreaded "toe" so I will have to do my research.

Hey Derrick! Glad to see you back at it. All great recommendations above! For EC-17 blaster check out Blaster Works:

https://blasterworks.net

This is the Darth Voorhees mould under new ownership. Prob one of thee best blasters available and rubber!

For the DLT19X, if you have access to a 3D printer, check out Surfinbird132’s model -

https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/star-wars-dlt-19x-blaster-mg-34.

It’s a great version perfectly scaled and easy to print and assemble. Stay away from the Etsy vendors that all show the same pic of the DLT. That version is woefully under scale in terms of width. If you have any questions, just post up and we’ll be happy to help.

Endorfinders is now producing exact replicas of the original Espirit gloves. Definitely worth checking out. Next best thing to owning the real ones.

Thank you so much for all the info @Aradun!  I went ahead and preordered the Endorfinders gloves and will order the EC-17 next pay period.

You all have been tremendously helpful, and I really appreciate it!
