Tm1986
Hey guys n gals ! Hope everyone have a nice weekend! I was searching around the forum since my helmet kit should arrive next week. I found out that the movie helmets was painted grey primer and than white of course. Now my questions:-D I want to work with liquid latex to mask some spots of the grey primer to get nice chipping . Is there a correct grey primer to match the movie helmets ? And the ferrari white that they use back in the day. Do we have a equivalent or ral from today out there? Thanks so much for any help ! Chopper
What sort of chipping are you looking to do? Are you basing your weathering off of the photos of the Steve Sansweet scout helmet on starwarshelmets.com? Unlike the Stormtrooper, there isn't as much information about the scouts in terms of exact colors or pantone matching. For the Ferrari white, we usually recommend that folks use an appliance white color, though this doesn't always match the abs used by whatever vendor you used. I also have this reference on Ferrari white, below. Where are you getting your other armor parts from?
Tm1986
Wow that was fast 🙂 Im between the two helmets shown on starwarshelmets. The one with the rub off decals on the back and the one from the "concert tour ". I'm not planning to get a armor for now. But I know myself and it's quite possible that there will be a armor in the future:-D I will go with rs when this happen. Thank you very much for the quick response
