Like the rest of everyone else in the Mtn Trooper section, I'm building Mtn Trooper, going through same sources as everyone else. KBPROPS for Helmet and Hard Stuff from Justin's Mountain Trooper File and for soft Stuff, I am sewing tassets and pockets myself along with the gaiters and jodhpurs, the shirt i am purchasing from Jim Tripon off of facebook. Gloves from EndorFinders and Boots from Crowprops. I'm getting 3" belt from Strapworks.com.

Excellent, looking forward to this!   Let me or @MrPoopie know if you have any questions.  Maybe @heartstopper85 can help too if he checks in

I think I've talked to him a bit on book of faces; but yeah hit me up I'm bad at getting on the forum. Still need to finish casting my new rubber straps as well.

Looking good id wait till you have the whole kit to figure out how far to go with weathering.

I always like to think about the story I'm telling; did I fall off a cliffs of battu, did I have to brace against Oga's while firing on resistance scum, etc

I'm also a fan of washes and using an old dirty cloth to "clean" up I might try some airbrushing if I can find a decent set and learn how to do it because I'm jealous of the weathering on Jeff's buckets

Thanks for the suggestion. I've also got the gloves coming in the mail from Endor Finders, I will post them once I've acquired them

Hold off on weathering.  Also, when doing it, look into black wash from a model /hobby shop.  It's a lot easier to dab on and clean off as you go through it.  They also make a brown wash.  It sits in the crevices, can be cleaned out pretty easily, or sealed in with clear gloss or matte spray paint.  Looks dirty, but only as much as you want.

Ya know just creating tassets and pouches. Now they look a little long and not so vertical. The CRL states it needs to be mid thigh and fit around my waist. I am currently 290 lbs. Therefore with those measurements the pouches and tassets had to be adjusted for my waist size. 1473742d93e781837de38999bc9903f3.jpg

Got gaiters, tassets and pockets done, the belt is hiked up a little high but the tasset does fall to mid thigh when placed correctly.f25692c98786f0f6e4f7fabee48c5e52.jpgda3ce8f6bca627ab8983b3037f8f0ac6.jpg4da35e6daf4552dd12a4f9e9ff14699e.jpg

I've decided to purchase Justin's mountain trooper files and I love them the 1st item printed was the hand plates. I'm printing Sun pla filament and reinforcing with bondo. It seems to work, other garrison members swear by the stuff so we will see how it goes, afterwards I printed the belt buckle and boxes and then the spats. The spats were to small for me at 100% so I bumped it up to 115%. I need to 3d scan myself before I waste a lot of filament. But I am taking a chance with the gauntlets and I'm just printing them at 115% as well.
I'm in the process of printing the 2nd spat also.8250fd5b98fdea60b6ce33405cf73322.jpg2277a9d1354299c4689e40bd7361ba34.jpg0c7b9eeb018b3aa67a3ae71c745decf9.jpg487758e949cb46c71f00279132dd2dc2.jpg0e1b47f2cb138c3b16253acfba647748.jpg

Yeah I screwed up on the biceps trying to print everything at 115% like the spats were. So now i need to reprint biceps and forearms. On a positive note I've learned how to measure pieces in my slicing software. cf61fc4eafce9b606de7b7450844a6c6.jpg133ef56c9f1495424447c3b608865d4d.jpg

I am holding the bomb on so I can see how it will look proportionately. If utah stops with this eternal winter I will be able to finish the bomb and attach it. 2dcea6f519cc48d68b299a7443c9f506.jpg0520edd6f16da088f30a58917f29ca95.jpgac089a22f3b993798b1c43d54925267d.jpgee03976c01e5228e4318e7c62b7a3c63.jpg

I'm excited with how the gauntlets turned out. Plenty of room to slide hand in and out of. I just need to weather up the belt, tassets and pockets. I still need to bondo the gauntlets and paint them up. Very pleased with how everything is turning out. 9a592c95fcd303ae0e77893370c9a14e.jpge5584ac17527c4f80fd5d09b01037e90.jpgaa6164058d862a1efecbdacab7a3941f.jpg315b79583c3726dcbfb89ee31a2d6e0d.jpg
