Keep in mind that you have to be able to get in and out of the armor too. So if you’re gonna try to emulate these little details as much as possible be sure to have Velcro on at least one side and mock stitching or you’ll have a bear of a time getting the chest and back armor with shoulder bells and all over your head.

God point, i was planning on folding the strap over on itself to create the look and then treat it as a normal strap going through the slit and sew Velcro to it. It will hopefully act as a normal strap. It’s going to be a lot of trail and error I guess

I got the belt glued down with e6000 over night.

I also got the thermal det belt clips painted. I riveted the belt clips with an bigger sized washer on the Inside of the tube so hopefully it helps prevents pull through.

I sewed these for my shoulder straps but I remember Mickey saying in the pathfinder video on YouTube that the new way is a strip instead of a loop, so I’m going to sew up some loops that look like strips..... hopefully.

Yeah if you look in some shots you can see where they are cut on the sides.  I just took a strip of elastic and glued it down over the join.  easy.  And it leaves the underside free for mounting a ziptie anchor.  Also it doesn't create the "bowing" effect that a loop creates.

Ok cool, any chance you got a picture of your shoulders from a side view. I think I know what you mean. Does the cut part come out from the bottom or over the top.

I’m about to sew the back drop box straps to my belt and I want to make sure the gapping between the boxes and the belt looks good, as well as the spacing between the buckles in the front

One question -- are you using elastic for your drop box straps? Sometimes it's hard to tell.

Another question,
Which shoulder strapping is most accurate? Pic 1,or pic 2?

I made a little belt loop for the back of my armor and sewed some Velcro on the strap that goes around to connect to the front. I allows me to slip my armor on without completely detaching the straps and then once it is on I can reach back and Velcro it snug.

I really wanted the area under my shoulder to be snug and clean so I ran some extra ABS underneath it but over the Velcro bridge and strap. This way it gives me clean area to attach my zip tie anchor. I am currently gluing down the other side of the ABS bridge and I will post some more pics of it all done.

Thanks brotha, the side strapping was my least favorite part of my last scout. I hated that I always needed someone to help me in and out of it.

Yeah, me too. You’ve got me rethinking my own set up. Thanks Manoah!

Got the thermal detonator almost done being glued. Kind of a sketchy way to do it but it’s working, lol.
The front part of the shoulder straps are glued as well.
