Hopefully all these pics come through, are there any red flag or areas of concern on any of these parts so far. I plan to glue down the webbing to the belt where it attaches behind the rivet. I believe I saw Aradun do it on his.

Also I just wanted to make sure that it’s left over right on the belt?

The CRL images have the belt as left over right and you're free to emulate that setup. There's nothing specifically in the CRL that requires one side over the other though. Either works.

Ok cool, I was more wondering to what the preferred way is? I figure there is going to be a few things here and there that don’t necessarily matter for the CRL, but are still done a specific way. Wether it be on screen or in the community.

Please let me know if there is any problem areas on these. I’m trying to get what I have done all uploaded in here so that way I can just upload as I work. I should have started this WIP a couple weeks ago, sorry guys.

Gino's scout is a great place to start.  Here's my photos of it if they help at all

Thank you soooooo much for that brotha. I just saved all those to my album.I spent about 2 hours in my hotel room last night trying to track down more of Ginos photos. Seems like there is only the same 4 photos online that he has on RPF and his FB page.
Is this the exhibit he had up in Orlando? I remember being in awe of all his pieces but I was side tracked by his Vader’s since I was in the middle of a build and completely neglected to take pics of the scout.

Questions on Ginos scout-
1-Would his level of weathering pass lancer?
2-Did he get access to a LFL scout for this build, like he usually does with all his stuff?
3-I hope you don’t mind the paragraphs I have been writing, I know some of you probably check up once a day so I want to get all my questions and concerns to you all in one sitting? Lol

1. Yes.  Absolutely yes.  That's how it should be done

2. Yes (oh and notice the zipties?)

3.  Is there a question there?

Yes those are the Orlando photos.

I remember you saying that Gino said all the backs of the armor he saw were different so I’m guessing this was just one of the renditions he saw? It’s completely original to anything I have seen and kinda cool. I’m going to stick with the original style I think but is the red stripe supposed to come all the way down the end of that knob for lancer or is just the top fine?

Yes, that's correct. Gino has mentioned that there were different markings on the tank toppers, maybe to differentiate between the various suits. The current CRL only allows for the "white dot" version of the tank topper though.

Based on Gino's suit and screen grabs, the red line detail on the top of the vertical piece of the knob should be on both ends and the top.

So I came across my first snag on theirs build, I remember the SC V1 kit having a different holster set up, I could be mistaken, but I don’t remember having this much trouble trying to get it to fit in its groove.
Cutting the slit openings in the front of the holster was a pain in my butt but I got it done, I’m not sure how you all feel about the bottom line being bigger than the rest, but it was crooked originally so my fix was to open it up a bit, I didn’t really want to open up the rest since it is not that open in the movies but now it’s kinda bothering me so what do you think.

This photo is from the odd, one-off left handed holster, but you can see that the slits aren't all perfectly straight either. I think your slits are ok.

Ok cool, thank you. Does it matter that my lowest slit is slightly larger than the rest?

Can someone please help me out with the origin of this photo?

It's just preproduction photos.  Doesn't have any standing on the CRL because several of the features of the costume didn't make it to the film itself.

What are you guys opinions on filling the seam line where the main holster portion meets the plate at the front of the holster. I know it’s not a requirement for lancer, but what are your general opinions on it?

Honestly haven't given it much thought.  I guess it looks a little neater, but nothing we are going to knock you for.

Yeah, I don't think you need to fill the holster seam against the plate, I mean, not unless you really want to.

Ok cool, maybe I will do it. What do most people use to adhere the holster to the plate?

Awesome, as long as it is not going to take away from getting lancer.
I think I will fill it in, I need to FILL my time with something while I wait for these soft goods and helmet, you see what I did there, lol

I've seen them done different ways.  It depends on the maker.  My Strider kit holster I had to glue, but the SC holster had a slot that the holster plastic inserted into.

Yeah this one has a slot for the rear area, but the front is free hanging. Rivets would be a no no though correct?
