Sean Fields 3d Print Questions

Hey everyone,

Currently working on getting everything printed, and it is now time to start on the back and chest. There is a version 2 chest, with this note inside the folder: "If you have already printed and assembled the back, there is a subfolder labeled “Back Retrofit” that contains parts to modify the back, including cut guides for the back.  The new chest will not work with the back without making these modifications."

But I see no version 2 back. I would rather print it correctly from the start, and not have to make any cuts later if I can help it. So if I print the version 2 chest, and the back that's in the zip file I am good to go? If anyone knows of any good build threads using these files, can you please point me in that direction? My search skills seems to be lacking..

Thanks,

Sorry, I’m not familiar with the Sean Fields files, so I can’t help with that question. Lot’s of people have been modifying or replacing some parts with more accurate versions, so there is some variation in builds.

This build has made it to Vanguard after some mods.

I couldn't find a version 2 back either. His version one is missing a lot of key details. If you stick with Sean Fields' files, you should follow FarEast's mods post printing like @ScaryGuy pointed out. Starts on page 3.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong. From what I can see there is NO version 2 back only a version 2 chest.  These means that you either print both the v1 chest and back or you print the v2 chest and v1 back but you'll also need to make the v2 modifications to the back.

It seems to as the the v2 chest has a better fit and build which is why he made the modifications. This won't change the overall look of the armor just the way it seems to go together.

Again, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Unfortunately I've only printed Mr. Paul's files.  I don't have any experience with Sean Fields' except for the E-22.

The Back Retrofit file is here.  The files you need aren't in here?
