Details on construction may be found on the respective costume detachment web forum. GMLs uncertain about an aspect of submitted costume shall post questions in the appropriate DL/GML peer review section of the Legion forum. Measurements given in this document are intended to be approximate and generalized; not criteria for approval. Gruntsky
First impressions... This CRL looks to be the TFA FOTK, not the TLJ CRL, which I believe the Treadspeeder TK should be. The helmet 'frown' for one thing, the bucket having the 'teeth' not the plain grid. Biceps and Forearms: Not sure if they are different parts or just the same parts with a different paint job. Bells seem to be the same. Chest: Needs stickers/painted decals on the middle. Belt and Ab section look to be the same as the TLJ FOTK, but the undersuit changes from waist height to the white coloured material. FOTK codpiece looks to be similar as well. I've heard somewhere that the Treadspeeder boots are actually moto X boots, but will need confirmation. Shins and knees appear to be new styles.
Gruntsky
Found this one online as I was having a look around. The Treadspeeder Driver appears to have a new shaped butt plate too

This was just meant to be a start, not the end. I don't believe in reinventing the wheel if half the work has already been done.

Harbinger
FISD is updating the TLJ CRL so I’d ping the DL to make sure you are using the most up to date info.

BikerScout007
@gmrhodes13 -- needs some FISD expertise on this The body helmet and body are pretty much FOTK. But it looks like the Shoulders, forearms and handplates are different. Not sure on the origin? Is that like the Jet Trooper? Or are they the same as this guy (Sith Jetpack Trooper?):
gmrhodes13
There were a few different versions of Treadspeeder rider seen in EPVII, the one you show above is the CGI version which has quite a few differences similar or the same as a Jet Trooper, they may just have taken some references from other costumes like the Jet trooper. Below the CGI does appear to use the same pieces as the Jet Trooper. Both CGI and Movie use the ribbed pants. The realistic movie version uses the same pieces as a regular FOTK apart from the shoulder bells are not rounded on the inner corners and everything below the belt is also different, pants, knee armor, boots. The comic version also matches the realistic movie version Could very well mean two CRL's, Movie and CGI.
BikerScout007
Yeah we are in the process of doing a CGI version, I'm just trying to figure out the arm bits. When it comes time to the live action version we'll probably just add a tab to the CRL. Thanks for the guidance!
gmrhodes13
A couple of the images used in the CRL draft are TFA and will need updating. Here are a few references of those differences
BikerScout007
Those are all L2 differences as far as this CRL is concerned. For basic, if it looks right at a glance to most folks, that's good enough. We'll try to get them as close as we can but it's not going to be my top priority. The CRL images I've used in the draft are just placeholders for now, and I literally cut and paste them from the TLJ CRL. So if they are wrong here, it's because they are wrong there. That's something FISD would need to fix on their end.
gmrhodes13
FISD is long overdue for updates on the TLJ FOTK, hopefully that will be starting soon. Just thought I would point them out here in case anyone is starting on a build

MrPoopie
Optional SE-44C Pistol Based on a replica Glock 17 repeating pistol, scratch-built, or a modified commercial Stormtrooper toy. BikerScout007
Okay at this point all the text and most of the photos are in the Wiki. Still need better Front/Back for the main pic (with the pants pulled up by suspenders to keep them from sagging at the top) and pics of the new knee armor.
BikerScout007
Question -- the CGI version has desert/sand weathering. The real life one doesn't seem to. Do we have any references showing desert weathering on the real life version?

Do we have any references showing desert weathering on the real life version? Not that I know of. The BTS shots as well as the promo shot and even the toy are all "clean". Clean will also help with transitioning other FOTKs into this costume, not that we need to base any choices on this, but it's helps with butts in armor.
BikerScout007
The main post has been updated to contain all the current CRL text and pictures. We are still missing the knee armor and a new front/back I have added in Level 2 details, based on the ones over at FISD and the own peculiarities of this particular trooper. It's my goal for someone to be able to have a Level 1 Treadspeeder Driver with either TFA or TLJ style armor. For Level 2, TLJ/TROS armor will be required where needed. I don't expect this to be the next blockbuster costume, so I'm not going to make it even harder for someone to get Level 1 for this one.

MrPoopie
We still need a correct image for the shins that has the straps reversed with clips on the outsides. Forearms Lvl 2 - On the ridged rail the third retaining button head closest to the elbow is a silver M5 dome head bolt. Why does the FOTK have a Lvl 3 when it barely has entries for Lvl 2? It's like they just skipped Lvl 2 and wanted to have a Lvl 3 to seem cool. Just nitpicking here. 1
