Tank decal question

In looking at the CRL again to make sure I have everything correct, I see that the tank decal for the most current version has a “tab” for lack of a better term. The decal set that came with my kit does not have this tab, and I noticed that some of the most recent lancer approvals do not have it either. Is this something that I need to add or manufacture out of leftover rank bar decals?

That tab was present on some, but not all, of the screen used scouts. Adding it is up to you, but it is not part of the requirements for Level 2.

OK, cool. Thanks. Just wanted to make sure as the reference photo and the submission photos were not 100% clear. Should be submitting for approval early next week, just waiting on my vest to come back from my seamstress after adjusting the sleeves which were about an inch and a half too long. Only thing left to do is the grooves on the boots but not sure if that will get done before I submit or not.

It was most apparent on the scout that nabs leia, so that makes sense.

Added question here: for basic approval, is there a difference between the 4 and 6 rank bars?

For basic there is no difference. 4 or 6 are good for Lancer aswell.

I like the tab detail - think it makes it look more authentic like that opens up in some way. I added it using basic pinstripe trim from AutoZone. Now if we could figure out a way to really make the tank actually open up to store things!

Just think about putting in a cooler with a water bottle in there for those really hot troop days with a spigot to your mouth. NOW THAT'S CUSTOM!

I tried putting an ice pack in my back tank (screws to the L-braces inside backplate to remove it) at DragonCon 2014. That was a mistake. Condensation on the tank dripped down my back and I was soaked by the time I had walked from the Ritz to the Hyatt.
