BikerScout007 Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Here are the photos from the Magic of Myth Exhibition from way back in the day. The link below is to the Exhibit's VERY OLD website. https://airandspace.si.edu/exhibitions/star-wars/online/sw-unit1.htm /public_html/images/motmphotos/MOTM_10999.jpg 11 3

Well, let's remember there's at least 1 scout seen on screen that had nothing on the back of his thermal det. I seem to recall hearing that some of the parts on this display were actually production made but not used. That could account for the biceps missing the greeblies and looking so clean.

Yeah it's hard to say. There was a 20 year gap between ROTJ and this display -- any number of things could have happened. And yes I heard this wasn't a screen used kit either. Although the soft goods are weathered up. It may have been Frankensteined together from whatever pieces they had lying around. The reality is it's just a piece of the puzzle and not the completed puzzle itself! 2
Whiskey Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 I have a behind the scenes pic of a couple of scouts without the bicep greeblies. Ill see see if I can find it
Whiskey Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 My guess is they didn’t want or have time to add all the greeblies. Possible due to filming time or labor constraints 1
Whiskey Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Here’s another where they’re lined up on the Death Star Notice you can see the black strapping of the forearm armor. You should be able to easily see the greeblies if they were there 1
BikerScout007 Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 Knowing George Lucas, I'm sure he calculated he could save $48.81 on the budget of ROTJ if the costume team didn't create greeblies for the Scout troopers in the Death Star parade! 1 6
Mr Fett Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Still better looking then when they set an exhibit up in England. Torso armor on backwards. Mandalorian knees before they were Mandalorian knees. LOL 2 1

Gree23 Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Wait.....the chest armor was made in two parts?!?!?! Would this hold up and need a CRL change?!?!?

This armor is cracked and starting to spilt. Remember, this exhibit was almost 20 years after the film. Just like the Blu Ray and the Costumes book, the MOTM exhibit was a great source of info, but the movie is ultimately what we go by. 1
