We can add the scout blaster.

Do we have any other pics of it other than that toy? It looks similar but not exactly the same there

I’m looking at grabbing Armory Props helmet...it’s roto cast resin and looks very good. As far as the reference pics we have seen so far, they did an amazing job. Here’s their helmet.

And please let me know if this is not allowed, but I can post the reference pics to compare how theirs matches it almost identically

Here are the only reference pics I could find until the movies release

I do realize this is already known...but I feel having these specific parts mentioned in the CRL are important.

Hi guys!

I'm Denis from ArmoryShop!

Just a quick note that I'm here and following this CRL build.

Really great to see this thread has begun and now we have a place for discussion!

Pls feel free to ask if I may help.

I have released Mk1 helmet edition and working over armor kit.

As for now I have roughly build 80-85% of armor kit, basing on available shots and some friendly help ;)

Will be grateful for any help, friends!

BR

Denis

For the boots, they look to be tall riding-style boots with armour attached to the toes, heels, upper foot, and the boot upper that covers the shin and calf area.

Based off the new promo pic...the pants seem to just be regular jean/duck type of material...with a white strip running down the side. I first thought the pants were gasket like as the top undershirt is...but doesn’t seem that way in this pic. The upper torso is definitely a gasket material, with crazy amounts of ribbing. I’m curious if the upper torso undershirt is the same as the DeathTrooper? I had the pleasure of trooping with my DT garrison brother, and his undershirt looks very similar to this characters.

The boots are definitely high up to the underside of the knee...as Dart said, riding boots. I don’t see buckles or anything so they may be some form of Imperial Command boots? The shins are recognizable as ShoreTrooper right shins...yet the left has another feature to them where it buckles to the back part of the shin armor. The right shin is definitely noticeable.

And hello Denis! Love your work brother. Looking forward to seeing the armor when it’s done! This is Blake H from FaceBook lol

I love that new photo. Looks like they simplified a lot from the original design!

To me it looks like a motorcycle cop: leather jacket, pants with trim and jackboots. The jacket looks like one piece, not just stray gaskets on the arms

Mickey's last pic makes it pretty clear, that is a scout's pistol on his hip.

Due to new refs, I have remodeled helmet Mk1 into Mk2))

Want it to be as close as possible.

Would love to hear your comments!)

Thanks in advance!

From my 2-years experience of making DeathTrooper's armor, I can see now few similar parts (aside of backplate and shoulder bells):

1) Belt. According to it's width on available pics, and overall adoption of DeathTrooper pieces, it shall be as follow:

  • The belt is ribbed and made from rubber or rubber-like material with no visible buckle or fastening mechanism.
  • There are approximately 28 ribs in total and the belt has an overall width of approximately 84mm.

2) Canvas belt boxes. They're clearly visible on the back of the belt. With plastic covers. Kind of:

  • There are two black canvas pouches (approximate dimensions 170mm x 70mm x 35mm) with a hard plate on each pouch flap.
  • Pouches are positioned on either side of the belt towards the back.

3) Leather pouch (box with button). Clearly visible. Like this:

  • There is a leather or leather-style pouch (approximate dimensions 120mm x 60mm x 25mm) with a single press stud and no visible stitching located front-right wearer's side of the belt.

Also, as far as I see now - helmet based on the mix of Rogue One Stormtrooper's and DeathTropper's helmet.

I can clearly see ear's button from R1TK, and traps looks to be done in the same style.

+12 vent holes as on R1 TK

+ ears shape

+ green one-piece visor

+ step between the dome and the back

According to this, it seems logical to forecast 13 thin rows on the back top traps.

From R1 DeathTrooper helmet they adopted:

- 2 matte black tubes

- main aerator module (cut on each side, close to center block)

- main aerator greeblies

- 3 vertical insets per each side on the back, under each gray trap.

Thanks Denis, I have added your language to our CRL! The LMO will probably take out the measurements but I will leave them for now

So glad to see you following this thread and knowing that I chose wisely and am in on this is just totally exciting. I've not been in on a CRL development yet — though I own Rogue One armor. Woo hoo!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi! The boots (as mentioned already) do seem to be English riding boots (motorcycle patrol boots?) but they look to be Spanish cut. Meaning the outer most part of the top of the boot is higher than the inner most part. The IOC CRL entry for Line Officer shows them nicely.

ID_Officer_Boots.jpg

Also, do we think the white part on the toes is an armor piece or the actual boot painted white? It seems so form fit to the boot that it would pop off when the wearer walked.

Just a thought.

The toe of the boot looks like it might be covered like Biker scouts are, with vinyl or something similar. The heel and dog bone look like armor though.

Yeah I was looking at another picture today and I agree! Either covered with vinyl or just painted white.
