Chest Cutout Width

On my armor as many do the front right chest indentation is too wide.

 

Just wanted to confirm it should be approx 1 3/4 inches wide?

 

Figure I might try to fill in part of this area closer to the side, sand and repaint so it’s closer to what it should be.

There is no specific width stipulated in the CRL or Lancer specs, as the various armor makers have different sized "slots" for the armor stripe.

 

What you've done in the photo looks a-ok.
