If you look at the original armor, you'll see that the tank cut isn't straight all the way around. See how it conforms to the shape on the top and around the bump on the lower back of the armor?

 

 

 

Much appreciated dude! I have some more sanding and trimming like in your pictures for sure but just happy it’s that good so far. I really screwed up the first one! Hahah

I"m currently building a WTF scout kit as well. Most of it is pretty easy but having trouble with helmet. This thread helped.

So I’m back! Moved twice and found a new job. Finally getting around to finishing the bucket.

This was a bad pull and a big part of why I couldn’t finish it was coming to terms with everything not fitting perfect how I wanted.

This is a thicker helmet than my current KW and so really wanted to finish it.

So I finally said duck it let’s do this. Did a little wet sanding today and threw some filler primer over the whole thing. Going to keep doing that a few more times.
