Lawless Scout Posted April 17, 2018 Author Posted April 17, 2018 Is WTF kit pretty easy to work with? Contemplating getting one and there was a sale on them recently It’s easy. Not as easy as a Studios Creations which comes already trimmed but it’s an easy process. Just have to take time. Measure twice cut once. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lawless Scout Posted April 17, 2018 Author Posted April 17, 2018 Cut out the face! Trimmed and cleaned up. But what the hell do I do with all this runoff in the back?! Hahaa. I gotta trim that next.
Lawless Scout Posted April 17, 2018 Author Posted April 17, 2018 How about these lines on the visor? Looking good? Thinner at the rounded area where it connects to helmet.
Frank75139 Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 They look right to me. By the way you left an arm on Street Fighter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chopper Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Do these look about right? In the second image, where your leather belt is showing? Try and bring the top of your boxes about even with the top of your trouser belt. 1

Try and bring the top of your boxes about even with the top of your trouser belt. Thanks again Chopper. I did raise them a bit. I thought they were too low. I’ll post an updated photo. Now I just need the helmet and chest to finish this kit. 1

Lawless Scout Posted April 20, 2018 Author Posted April 20, 2018 Good to know, thanks. Your build is something I’ll reference when I order mine down the road There are many better ones but I greatly appreciate it! I’ll help with any info I can.
Lawless Scout Posted April 23, 2018 Author Posted April 23, 2018 Good job on the weathering dude Thanks! Trying to keep it small. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lawless Scout Posted April 23, 2018 Author Posted April 23, 2018 Added a 2†back clip for the codpiece just Iike senor Mickey!
Lawless Scout Posted April 23, 2018 Author Posted April 23, 2018 Also added a magnetic snap to keep the bicep armor up high and tight.
Lawless Scout Posted April 23, 2018 Author Posted April 23, 2018 I’m already using the knees and arm armor from the kit to troop in. Just need to finish the helmet and chest. 1
Wildcards Rex Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 Man, your armor is looking good. This thread has answered a lot of questions I've had with my WTF kit. 2

Lawless Scout Posted June 8, 2018 Author Posted June 8, 2018 Put the build to the side for a bit but finally got the helmet to a place I feel comfortable with. This bucket was a mess and I’ve got it mostly even. Still lots more sanding and a bit of trimming then a whole bunch of paint layers. But hoping to get it done over the next week.
Lawless Scout Posted June 8, 2018 Author Posted June 8, 2018 I decided to add a little extra reinforcement to the chest piece. Was it needed? Some say yes and some say no. I felt the ABS was a little thin so went with it. Couldn’t hurt right. Added to where the straps pull through too as that’s where a lot of stress can happen I felt.

What did you use for reinforcements? I like that idea I was just looking at mine thinking the same thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Lawless Scout Posted June 9, 2018 Author Posted June 9, 2018 What did you use for reinforcements Just extra ABS I had. Cut it into the shape I wanted and plastic welded it to the piece. The weld dries super hard and I can feel the little extra weight and structure is what I was hoping for. I’m also probably going to add a little padding to just the shoulder straps to help pad and take pressure off that. Maybe over engineering but think it will feel better.
Lawless Scout Posted June 9, 2018 Author Posted June 9, 2018 Did I do this correctly? Seems like it went too easy. I feel like I need to do something else to make it harder. Now then besides the elastic strap and rivers on top and bottom how else might I attach it? I’ve seen the tab at the top version and Velcro through a slot. What to do. What to do? Any suggestions?!
Chopper Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 If you look at the original armor, you'll see that the tank cut isn't straight all the way around. See how it conforms to the shape on the top and around the bump on the lower back of the armor? 1
