Sorry I fixed it

No those have too many differences from the movie used. We're really recommending Orca Bay's while you can get them, but if size is an issue Imperial Boots have a very close to accurate design.

I'm a 13 wide or 14. Imperial boots don't have that size.

For some reason I had it in my head that they made some larger sizes. Hold on I'm checkin with someone I believe also wears a 14.

Hi Richard

They are a Chelsea style boot , however they are missing some of the style and stitching we would recommmed. If you don't want to go for the Orca Bay, there are other options available that are a good match , like Imperial boots.

I did look into Orca Bay but got a UK site but the price listed was in pounds and didn't give the US currency despite selecting the United states. Also unsure what elk color or Havana? Just want the one used for the shore troopers and I did sent them mail of inquiry. Will look at the Imperial boots as well. Thanks

"Sand" is actually the proper color but Havana or Elk could be made to work. Many are using havana.

Got email response from them and yes sand is the color they used for the movie plus they weathered it to give a worn look. Will look into the boots. Thanks

What we had here was the company suddenly running out of the Havana and investigated why. They only had sand left and added this to the sand colour

This boot was worn in the recent Star Wars movie making it a very popular choice.

Very clever wording without acuallualy naming the film or having it endorsed. Then when the Havana and elk came back into stock the same sentence appears now on them all.

Very good marketing ploy but nether Sand , elk or Havana have been confirmed. With the right weathering they all work well so they are all acceptable with the correct weathering. I had a set of Sand and Havana and I personify like others thought Havana was the closest and easiest to weather to the look. But all are acceptable :)

So according to the company they are all used PMSL , it's all about sales ;)

You can decide which one to go for , but none or 100% Lucas/Disney confirmed

Stefan, just that you are repeating, that they sold out, doesnt make it more true!

They aways stated that sand is the true colour. ALWAYS!

and this comes from orca bay directly!! not a retailer or something like that.

I dont now where the text "star wars" was posted for all boots.

Maybe you are referring to the ardmoor site? If so, seriously? This is a website and there, the description of the boots is the same for every colour. They cant change it, It's fixed for every colour. They just dont have an option to use a different text just for one colour. OMG....

fact is: that, as i ordered in december, all boots were available and just sand was stated as the correct colour

NOW: all boots are availble, and orca bay says: sand is the correct colour.

On there facebook site orca bay says: sand is the correct colour.

I dont care what a retailer says.

Havana has a clearly visible structure in the leather. those are not used in the movie.

95% of all people who are interested in a shoretrooper know: sand is the correct colour.

Just the people who bought an other colour say, that sand is not the correct colour or the other colours are as good as sand.

I can just repeat myself for all the people who wanna buy their boots: buy sand, this is the correct colour. Ask orca bay directly. and they will tell you the same!

And Stefan, if you still wont believe, that sand is the correct colour, i will email orca bay once more directly and ask them for an other statement on their website, facebook and every social media plattform they have!

You can bang on about Sand all day long , I don't mind ether way.

Like I have said Sand may be or may not be the colour used. And the FACT is Orca Bay only started advertisieing them as Star Wars used in Dec after they caught on.

The only time I will ever be convinced 100% that Sand was the ONLY colour used is when LFL/Disney have convfrimed it or someone who worked within that department confirms it.

The FACT is I can put a pair of Havana, Elk or Sand that have been correctly weathered beside a screen pair and you could not tell the difference.

You do make me chuckle as you bang on about being correct , when you won't weather your breeches just because the CRL does not say to. Seriously think about it , battered and weathered armourer , battered and weathered boots, but breeches are squeaky clean ?

You are 100% right with that. I think the same.

But the reference pictures show them unweathered for grunts. At least for me.

We can see at the captain pics how the breeches look weathered.

And it makes also no sense that a captain is more dirty than a grunt. But this is what the pics show me.

So i want to wait for the blu ray if the grunt breeches are weathered or not.

This is a pretty good alternative as well. With the right weathering, it's a pretty good boot. Minus the seam down the side, it's pretty darn close. Brown or tan should be ok if you weather it. Brown will need to be lightened up for sure.
