Flykiller
I ordered my armor on January 1st...I'm #25 in the order queue. It seem to be usual. But as a lot of armors are now yellow you may think about cancelling your order...
plushie
I believe SkyScout is making progress with communication with MC in regards to her yellow scout kit. But I'll let her confirm that with you guys.
Ketchup
I am making progress with my yellow armor, and have let him know about the aforementioned AT-AT driver. I will be going up to Loveland this week to show him my yellow armor in person, and hopefully will be getting new pulls out of it. I will also tell him about your other guy, Navajo Bro. This should be made right for everyone.
Flykiller
If he is honest he should provide any one who got this kind of yellowing plastic with new parts.

This should be made right for everyone. Yeah, like I said I have MonCal armor from 2007 and have worn it for years inside and outside. It's still white as snow lol. These two guys have stuff in containers for a few months, one or two troops in (meaning literally a few hours of wear) and it's as yellow as can be. It HAS to be some kind of plastic flaw, I don't see how so many kits could individually go bad lol....

01Hawk
Flykiller- it looks like your screw covers are taped to the snout aerator piece. Pull the tape off and you will see.

Deepblue
Not sure if I should post in this thread. I ordered my TB armour, bucket, etc, from Faraway Creations back in July 2014, and have yet to receive my bucket and boots. They sent me the bucket last Dec but was not properly done. I sent it back, they acknowledged it. I've followed up with them regularly since then and was last informed more than a month ago that the bucket maker had family problems and thus the delay, and that the seamstress for the boots was unwell. Since then, I've emailed them (as well as post and pm them on their FB page), more than 3 times and have not heard from them.... By next month, my wait for my bucket and boots would have been exactly 2 years.... I ordered my TB almost 1 year before my TI and TS parts (from another maker), and yet managed to get my TI / TS approved first..... I understand they have been busy with various projects and I'm not an expert on the waiting time. But having read various threads, am I correct to say that 2 years is way too long??? missleia
FYI...... New issue just surface lately about FAC armor. The plastics turns yellow is about 6 months or so. I think he uses inferior and cheap ABS plastics.

UV cause's that, need to use an automotive paint so that doesnt happen. you maybe able to polish off but it will return. keep the armour out of the sun as much as possible cheers
khazara
Not sure if I should post in this thread. I ordered my TB armour, bucket, etc, from Faraway Creations back in July 2014, and have yet to receive my bucket and boots. I suggest getting a refund on those items and acquiring your helmet & boots elsewhere. There are several sources documented elsewhere on these boards where you will not have to wait like you have. I got my helmet from Spike and my boots from Marcel, both who I would recommend, but there are other sources as well.
Deepblue
Thanks All for your advice and sharing. My belt (also from FAC) has turned yellow since I received it last Dec.... I'll consider going for a refund.
Nexous
Thanks All for your advice and sharing. My belt (also from FAC) has turned yellow since I received it last Dec.... I'll consider going for a refund. For the parts that have turned yellow I would recommend trying a process called Retr0bright (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retr0bright) a fellow Scout that has a full MonCal kit used it on his and it was noticeably whiter. Painting is an option as well as Spike mentioned

Stroker
They're using vey low end plastic. I bought a set a few months backs that's around 4 years old and is Snow White and it's a totally different plastic to the new armor sets that a few friends have gotten over the last 2 years. My biker and snowy are both MC and I love the details. However I would advise not to buy at this point.

I have a friend that lives in Arizona that took and treated his TK with the stuff and it's gonna on 3 months and the white is still white as can be. Deepblue
Thanks. Are you referring to Trooperbay's humbrol paint?
Stroker
Thanks. Are you referring to Trooperbay's humbrol paint? No,he carry's a paste that you brush your armor down with and put under a soft light that'll kill the yellow. It's says to put in the sun but I wouldn't do that ')
Deepblue
Do you have the link on his website as I can't seem to find it? Soft light as in the normal living room lighting?
Yorkie Fett
Do you have the link on his website as I can't seem to find it? Soft light as in the normal living room lighting? I, very sadly, have got yellowing on a DL kit and have just got all the ingredients needed for a retrobright treatment. All the links I have read say that you have to use a UV light (or leave it in direct sunlight) in order for it to work effectively. The other unfortunate detail I have read, is that the retrobright may work short term, but the yellowing will eventually return. Since I haven't tried it yet, I can't confirm whether this is correct. See this link: http://www.instructables.com/id/Restoring-yellowed-Stormtrooper-armor/
Deepblue
Yup. The yellowing will return and the fix is just temporary.
