Arnt some of these updates what should be in the standard CRL to match screen grabs? To correct what is already wrong, Im no Kashyyyk know all so, only going by what ive read

Yes. It corrects the colors of specific items that were previously listed with the correct colors, as seen in the movie. (Screen grabs.)

The modified CRL looks good.

Nate, ya out there?

Any other comments, suggestions, or objectons from anyone else?

Let's finish this thing up, already!

Basic is for what's seen in the movie. Plain and simple. The revised CRL corrects the colors. Not much else.

The level II style is based on just a few differences from the basic style, and is not required at all for approval.

And, once again, all currently approved Kashyyyk Troopers do not have to make changes in their armor or colors. After the finalization of the proposed "corrected" CRL for the Kashyyyk Trooper is active, that is what will be accepted for approval. If current Kashyyyk Troopers wish to update their KST's to match the new CRL, they can do that as well.

On a related note...

I also hope that the GML's around the globe will follow these CRL's when deciding on an approval for a new Kashyyyk Trooper, instead of options or parts that "look good enough."

Isn't that what that one thread is for....to show your pics that will be sent in for approval, for suggestions on what might not be correct? That's what we are here for, people.

"Pre-clearance Completed Costume Show-offs"

http://forum.bikersc...hp?showforum=97

Although there are no new KST's yet.

The build threads are fine, too.

But, when you get all of the puzzle put together, post up some pics in the above link, for review.

Nate! Hey Nate!!

That's what this thread is for. Discussed by the people who have an interest, condensed from compromises made.

The so called high res screen grab has turned out to be a high res 3d render or at least an enhanced view of the screen shot - so can no longer be used as screen seen. Lots of the details were actually identified on the 3d renders were part of basic requirement in the 2012 CRL, so can no longer be considered screen seen and have been moved to level II.

Lots of the arguments have be about colour and shades - and we can argue to the cows come home and not everyone will always agree with everyone else, but the above is the concensus we had agreed on.

As far as I am concerned, this is what has been discussed and agreed to by consensus. Not everyone is gonna agree with all that has been said, but is the best compromise we have agreed to. Level I is based on screen seen. Level II on the 3D renders like other clone CRLs - it adds details not seen on screen just due to the nature of the technology. It is similar to the ATAT helmet argument - Level I is screen seen ie white, Level II is actual prop ie grey

Boot shape has always been a contention - so we have, as always compromised and allowed for modded boots rather than insisting everyone gets a replica. True replica or found boot is Level II.

Its not a big group, and the Kashyyyks dont get as much traffic through here - just cos its a rare costume. We did have a long consultation process the last time, as the costume was being developed and people had to build and paint and show before we could agree on how something was done. Much is the same at the moment. As yet, no one person will have all the basic requirements as we speak - I am modding my gear up and should be done in a week or 2. MB armour is no longer being made, and SC armour is currently being finished. We arent based on a movie thats been out 30 years, and theres lot to disagree about, but I am happy to publish as is above. But as always - we will grow and adapt as time goes by.

The above format is what was handed in to you last time Marcel.

Yeah, definately not a lot of traffic. But, we do what we can. And like you said, we compromised and came up with what appears to be a good CRL.

(Yes,it is based on what we could find in the freeze-frames.)

It's still hard to do a CRL for a CGI character that doesn't get a whole lot of screen time.

"Always on the go..."

I'm done.

nope - there was 1st the arguement about what constituted an actual screen grab

then dissecting blurry images which where shaded and shadowed inconsistently - and yes those were off Blue Ray grabs!

lots of the nitty gritty details in Level II were included in the 2012 basic CRL, but have now been separated

there was never ever a wrong or right, it is opinion. Not having an actual physical item makes these CRLs a nightmare!

Exactly what I've said many times. Thank you!

I was under the impression, when I last talked with him about this, that Nate had submitted the final CRL to you. Perhaps you should contact him, as I haven't heard from him in awhile, here on BSN. Sorry about this, Marcel.

Sorry for resurrecting this. Just curious; was there no mention of the helmet symbol on the bottom left visor shroud?

Also the vent stripes below the green visor--which look to me diagonal and not vertical.

Hi Barry,

The description of said details has indeed been left out, however they are present in the example pictures:
